It has already been reported that a large group of heavily armed men from the Pacific Patriot Network showed up at the Bundy Militia's camp In Oregon with the intention of hand delivering Bundy's Articles Of Resolution to FBI themselves, and In the video below, you are about to see the beginning stages of what could turn out to be a truly historic victory for the Bundy Militia. Saturday morning, after a meeting with the Occupiers at the Refuge, approximately 15-20 vehicles loaded up with members of the Pacific Patriot Network rolled out of the federal refuge and and went straight out to the Burns Airport where the FBI Compound and Headquarters was located. They rolled up armed with sidearms just outside the main building at the airport and exited their vehicles to walk over to the building to engage the FBI officers.
Almost immediately, as seen in the video, about 8-10 federal officers exited the building in full tactical "battle rattle" and moved to surround the approaching group. Brandon Curtiss, of the Idaho 3% and the others, immediately sought to defuse the tension by extending hands, taking a non-threatening stance and showing their peaceful intent. By engaging in friendly dialogue, the group continued to calm and assuage the officers standing guard at the front of the FBI compound. The PPN group then proceeded to present and discuss the "Articles of Resolution" they had drawn up as negotiating points between the federal government and the Occupiers at the Refuge.

If not for the grade school mistakes, this article would make a good counterpoint to the mainstream portrayal of these events. Unfortunately, some people, myself included, are likely to stop reading when they encounter misspelled or incorrectly used words and discount any content or argument presented. That sort of thing just reinforces the perception of leftists that we are just a bunch of uneducated hicks. If one wishes to be taken seriously, a careful proof reading of anything one publishes is in order. Computer spellcheck is not good enough.

Attempting to “assuage” authority you have confronted with guns sends a message to authority which opposes the spirit of confrontation. This could be interpreted or misinterpreted ad weakness. And we all know where that can lead.
Unfortunately, the same thing can be said for the MSM news. Far too often when I read an article about “Occupy something”, Black Lives Matter and other “reporting” it is almost impossible to understand without a street slang translator.
The underlying conflict between the Bureaucratic Fed Gov Regulators of “public lands” in the West and the citizens is a real problem.
I lived just a few miles from the epicenter of the original Sagebrush Rebellion. Was interesting how that played out. Many of the Locals forced the Fed Regulators to live by the local government Laws. Something they did not think they were subject to. That was long ago.

While I agree on the main points with what you say, I would never stop reading an article because of errors. We have had far too many great Americans who couldn’t spell their way out of a paper bag. General George S. Patton, for instance,was dyslexic and I am sure most of his orders and notes written by him were far from perfect. That did not have anything to do with his brilliance, or the effectiveness of his messages. Daniel Boon was another,and he served in congress. I am not fond of elitist attitudes so prevalent today.

Wow. You would have ridiculed the tremendous intellect of a Davy Crockett and his letters/writing and biography, which are riddled with misspellings and grammatical errors, although containing so much wisdom about Life and Freedom.
I think you have to go back to the “Content” theme of MLK, Jr.—not the superficial “look” of something. I do agree that “marketing of ideas” has taken a sleek/seductive, superficial turn, in our vulgar, effete, tyrannical culture, where”perceptions” eject Reason and Truth to emote “feelings” only). True education and wisdom come from living off the land and being self-directed not controlled 24/7 by an irrational, artificial system of indoctrination. Living and working within the natural environment within the natural family supplies wisdom and learning sufficient for real life human-interaction skills and self-reliance that modern books can warp.
Yes. “Education” (self-directed) on top of rugged individualism like Lincoln’s, can refine a mind-—but without that “unschooled” childhood, there would be NO “mind” to refine.
I would love a transcript of the video. The dialogue is hard to hear and what was said is an important tool in how this is done correctly. I get the avoidance tactics the feds are using. They’re trying to appear unprepared or unavailable to destabilize the protesters. I love the calm firmness displayed by the PPN while faced with intimidation.
Generals don’t usually write orders, they have a staff to do that. Then the General reviews it, signs it and has his staff desiminate it.
Maybe they did not feel intimidated by 8 - 10 FBI kids because they knew they were being covered by the 40 rifles surrounding the entire complex?

Half the problem with the conservative movement in general, and the Patriot movement in particular, is ineffective communication. Referring that article to someone not already simpathetic as part of a debate will only reinforce their opinion that these guys are just a bunch of dumb hicks who don’t even know the difference between “steel” and “steal”.
Defending the inability to communicate effectively, or worse being proud of it, does a disservice to the cause.
Spelling and grammar errors are common and are commonly ignored in forums like this one. It is all well and good carrying on a fast conversation with someone who already agrees, like me. Not so much if you are trying to present our case to someone who gets all their information from MSNBC and NPR and thinks they are smart because they agree with all the smart people on TV.
This article is fine fodder for those of us who side with the citizens against the feds(Yes. I read the whole thing and watched the videos too) and we are all willing to overlook the silly mistakes because we agree with their position. As a tool for convincing those inclined to support the government position, however, it is worse than useless.
