Ted Cruz said New York values are socially liberal and this latest action by the NY Supreme Court proves he is absolutely right. Not only are they socially liberal, but they violate the very essence of the First Amendment by punishing Christian farm owners who refused to host a gay wedding on their property:
WASHINGTON TIMES â A New York appellate court upheld Thursday a $13,000 judgment against the owners of Liberty Ridge Farm for refusing to host a same-sex marriage on their property.
Cynthia and Robert Gifford, who own the 100-acre farm in Rensselaer County, violated the stateâs Human Rights Law when they declined for religious reasons a September 2012 request by Melisa McCarthy and Jennifer McCarthy to rent the venue for their wedding ceremony, the court ruled.
After being hit with a complaint, the Giffords were fined $10,000 by the state Division of Human Rights and also ordered to pay the McCarthys $1,500 each in damages for âthe emotional injuries they suffered as a result of the discrimination.â
In affirming the earlier decision by the state Department of Human Rights, the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division said that the agencyâs determination âdoes not require them to participate in the marriage of a same-sex couple.â
I remember when Right Scoop was a halfway decent site. Of course, looking at the Alexa ratings, it appears to be going down.
Just too bad.
The elite are inciting the 99% to just outright rebel against them.
The LGBT crowd will not be satisfied until everyone is forced to publicly celebrate their perversions.
More NY values.
New York City stinks...literally. Donald Trump was a Democrat for so long that he doesn’t realize what American Values are.
Catholic and Orthodox Churches and their Parish Halls.

The 1st Amendment guarantees the right to peacefully assemble. As such, it also guarantees to the right to NOT assemble. Since the purpose of business is one of the reasons for assembling together to transact commerce, the 1st amendment guarantees the right to both do business and to NOT to do business. Just as the freedom of religion guarantees the right of those who wish to practice a particular religion and it protects those that do not want to practice that particular religion.
Any law which forces a business to serve any customer and does not allow them to opt out of providing that service is de facto unconstitutional.
So these things don’t happen in other states?
Makes me sad, too, but I’ll bet this ruling would happen in at least 20 states, and maybe more. Pretty good odds the current SCOTUS would nix it, but who knows for sure. I’ll bet we find out pretty soon.
It is a NY value.
And it is happening here as a test.
Here, more NY values:

Well, it’s one of the reasons I pretty much place greater hopes these days in an eventual secession between red and blue states as a rectifying measure, as opposed to presidential election outcomes.
If a local church owns the hall, it should only let the hall out for purposes that the church agrees are hallowed.
Almost any kind of separation is proposed on these pages except for the separation that exists between God and the world. I wonder why?
Total bullshit takeover of our country...(remember to vote for hellary)

This nation’s embrace of depravity and evil has convinced my eyes that America is now a Godless country. What this story serves up is another brick in that sorry ediface.
