“A Republican National Committeeman delivered a call-to-arms aimed at Donald Trump during a closed-door GOP meeting on Thursday, urging his colleagues to take a forceful stand against those who he said were destroying the party’s brand. “

They apparently have plenty of friends and allies on FR.

“angry voices in the party”

If you are not angry, you are not paying attention.

urging his colleagues to take a forceful stand against those who he said were destroying the party's brand.

If they want to know who is "destroying the party's brand" they can look in the mirror.

They’re terrified that they may have to finally deliver on some of their rhetoric, and afraid of losing their safe, cushy desk jobs.

You know, if they really think the angry voices in the GOP are sometimes over the top, they ought to look in the mirror.

Things got like this because many in the party valued ensuring their own re-election by moving to the middle over doing what they were elected to do. And in doing so, they repeatedly ignored the complaints of those who elected them.

They ought to try understanding the anger and addressing the causes rather than blaming their constituents.

At least most of the candidates (other than JEB! and Kasich), have figured out that you have to acknowledge the legitimacy of the anger and try to address the underlying problems. But much of Congress and the party officialdom are still clueless. Their reactions are making it more likely that one of the candidates they dislike will win the election. What is depressing is that the party leadership is apparently too clueless/dumb to realize that.

What the difference between the Republican-Mitch McConnell-Paul Ryan “brand” and the Obama-”brand”?

They would have already done it if they knew how. Their only hope is that Trump will make a fatal mistake.

Those in the Party who Redfield identifies with him need to get out of the Party. We welcome their departure. They have done more than enough damage by almost destroying this Country in league with liberals.

A Republican National Committeeman delivered a misdirected call-to-arms aimed at Donald Trump during a closed-door GOP meeting on Thursday, urging his colleagues to take a forceful stand against those who he said were destroying the party's brand.

Misdirected because it is Donald Trump who is RESTORING the party's brand! The "Republican" National Committeeman needs to figure out exactly who is destroying the party's brand. ...very easy to do. And it is NOT the conservatives!

An open Public response to Redfield.

I’ve been told to sit down, Shut up and vote party above all else since Reagan left office. I’ve been told my ideas and beliefs are out of the mainstream. The ONLY time I have been wanted is AFTER a turd rises in the RINO punch bowl we are all supposed to line up and take a bite.

Those days are OVER. Shut up, Sit down and put some salt on it. You’ll get used to the taste after a decade or two.

Word to the WISE in the Establishment. Let this play out naturally. If you meddle like you meddled in Mississippi, I guarantee you Paul Lyin Ryan will not survive a primary challenge in Wisconsin. The rest of the RINOS are put on notice...no more second chances. When your tenure comes to an end we will NOT re-elect you. We will unite in precinct by precinct to run AGAINST YOU.

EVEN in States Like Kentucky. Even if it costs the RINOS the Majority...You feeling me McTurtle?

The Republican National Committeeman is totally corrupt with communists loving idiots. Most of the RNC needs to be revamped with Constitutional Conservatives for sure. Trump will be the nominee and on to the Presidency.

'Shut up. Toe the line, embrace each other, and let's go forward.' I understand that. But there is a limit to loyalty.

This is what you've been telling us for decades. Now it's your turn. Shut up and support our candidate for a change!

We'll see how the election turns out. As much as I like Cruz and Trump, it's still early.

But no matter what, this cycle has shown that the GoPe is completely tone-deaf.

Poster boy Cantor dumped in his primary. Mississippi icon Cochran having to resort to all sorts of unsavory tactics to beat back his challenger. Boehner run out of office, resigning the Speakership and his seat. The upstarts Trump and Cruz attacking them head on and dominating the polls of their own voters.

How can they possibly NOT see?
