SINGAPORE - Three Singaporean men were charged with murder, and one with rioting, on Thursday (Jan 7), after the death of a 30-year-old American man following an incident along Circular Road on Christmas Eve last year.
Muhammad Khalis Ramlee, Muhammad Haziq Hashim and Muhammad Izzuandy Yusof, all age 23, are accused of intentionally causing the death of Mr John Denley Nelson, a Universal Studios Singapore stuntman. The trio face the mandatory death penalty if convicted of the charges.

What was this about? Unusual for Singapore where there isn’t any crime and no crime is tolerated; when you arrive at Changi Airport you are given a ticket with large print saying that drug dealers are subject to the death penalty in Singapore.

Singapore's court system moves quickly because they are not crowded with tons of petty crime and BS. Accordingly, crime is abysmally low because would-be perps know their chances of paying the piper are quite high.
Once upon a time, it worked that way here too.

Any thoughts as to their religious affiliation. Singapore gets a lot of derision from the rest of the world for their harsh crime laws...but maybe they’re simply ahead of the curve as to what’s needed.

Other than S’pore being extremely expensive, it is a very nice place.
