IMHO, pop culture shows like ‘The View’ have become propaganda tools, and in this day and age one has to respond to all forms of propaganda and diffuse them, strongly. If you don't, they take the narrative and one allows them to set the tone.

Behar just recently made disgusting comments about abortion, and how this is the major voting decision point for her. Whoopi has her own significant track record. If they are going to attack Trump, he should respond. The days of being ‘above the fray’ and therefore ‘Presidential’ are behind us, because the opposition will do and say just about anything to destroy those who don't share their worldview. IMHO his comments will do more to discredit them and decrease any legitimacy they have than they will diminish his stature in any way.
