Clinton's private email account exploits FOIA loophole, report says
Fox News ^ | January 07, 2016 | Catherine Herridge, Pamela Browne

EXCLUSIVE: Hillary Clinton’s unorthodox use of a private email account and personal server for government business exploited a loophole in the State Department's FOIA, or Freedom of Information Act, process, according to the findings of the first Inspector General report to stem from her email scandal.

Congress asked the Office of Inspector General, the State Department's independent watchdog, to investigate the issue following the revelation that Mrs. Clinton did not use a government email account while secretary of state.

Fox News reviewed the 25-page report and its findings before they were made publicly available.

The report reads in part:

"FOIA neither authorizes nor requires agencies to search for Federal records in personal email accounts maintained on private servers or through commercial providers (for example Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.) Furthermore, the FOIA Analyst has no way to independently locate Federal records from such accounts unless employees take steps to preserve official emails in Department record keeping systems.”

IOWs if you break the law at the State Dept. you’re not accountable to the law.

Tell me again this isn’t a banana republic.

Don’t know how this will play out. Sounds like she pulled one off on us all, probably her husband’s idea, but in the end we’ll see. Yeah, she did things that were illegal and improper, but at the end of the day did she damage our country? Petreaus I don’t think, did anything harmful to our country, but they needed to get him out of the way. He knew too much. Which brings up a thought that stays in my mind. “Why does Petreaus support these people? Why doesn’t he show some guts, and speak out about what he knows, ie the truth?”

Obama will pardon Hillary. He will pardon her for many reasons, very much like Ford pardoning Nixon.

I always wondered about that, considering Nixon had not been convicted of anything.

I’ve been researching it a bit, and might post something today or more likely tomorrow on the Nixon pardon. I really recall it well. Ford comes on the TV and starts talking, and no one really knew where he was going with this...was like he was talking forever, then he hits us with the pardon, which at the time, I felt was the right thing to do. But oh man were the liberals upset. I think Ford lost the election ‘partly because of that. I was so much for Reagan at the time. Everything that came out of his mouth, I agreed with. Thinking back, it’s the same thing today. We have the Ford descendants, The Bush’s, The Karl ROve’s etc etc wing of the party that is clueless. Totally clueless.

I think TEd Cruz represents where we are going to be going, but right now for me and for the country it’s Trump. LOve him, hate him whatever, I’m for the man, because I don’t think he’ll let the press or anyone else undercut him, PLUS I think he’s going to win big, and have a big mandate to get things done.

I don’t see in a million years Cruz ever taking New York, of Penn or NJ. Trump can and will. Maybe even Illinois.

And of course some DoS lawyer conveniently pointed this out to the Clintons as soon as she took office. Not an accident or for mere convenience, but deliberately planned and executed to hide her communications from Congress and the public.

Don’t forget Rockefeller. I think Ford was supposed to step down and hand the POTUS to him, but I think Betty shut that down. Rockefeller died in 78 or 79, and I recall hearing three different versions on the radio as to place and who he was with before they settled on ‘the one’.

Why would Ford step down?

Rockefellers were considered powerful enough that they’d likely cut a deal to get the position. Why did he get the vice POTUS job anyway (either of them) as opposed to anyone else?

In my reading, it says that Ford and promised Nixon the pardon, and inturn Nixon promised to appoint FOrd.

Then Ford didn’t pardon Nixon right away. He waited a month at least.

He never said, even on his death bed, if they had some deal between them.

I think you’re right, Ford was there to pardon, then to step down.

I really hated to see Ford get the nod and not Reagan, but the country wasn’t ready for REagan.

Been that way for quite some time. People are just noticing the blatant/in-your-face nature of that fact.

Course, I can’t seem to lay my finger upon any Amendment/Right govt doesn’t outright trample upon that have caused the majority to DO SOMETHING about it either.

Maybe, when the relocation/re-education begins...Course, then it’s usually too late.

Every one I know who voted for Carter said they were doing it because “Ford struck a deal with Nixon.”

That’s true it’s just more blatant. Also the MSM no longer even makes any pretense of shock at the corruption they are blatantly covering and assisting it.

By loophole is meant, she broke the law, and both she and Obama knew she was breaking the law, at the time she was breaking the law. Oh, and by not enforcing the law, he was also breaking the law.
