Too bad the NY Post can’t be bothered to expend this much effort investigating Clinton Foundation filings.

I read this. It seems the NRA took advantage of opportunities in filing (leaving questions blank, and possible legal interpretation of questions other than the government intended, etc.)

Regardless, and although I’m not a fan of the NRA per se, I’d be willing to bet that what they did was legal, at worst successfully arguable in court. The NYP was given help on this ‘report’ - likely from the government and/or DNC. This is just a preemptive bow shot to the NRA in its run up to combat the tyrants coming gun-taking edicts.

One could only hope the NYP goes after the Clinton Foundation with such journalistic integrity.

I was wondering why the Post was going after the NRA instead as well. Trying to out-left the NYDN?

They’ve had it in for the NRA since the colorado abortion mill shooting, even though the shooter had nothing to do with the NRA.

They even tried to blame the San Bernadino Muslim terror attack on the NRA.

One of Obama’s goals for 2016 is gun control. Looks like the IRS is his weapon of choice. Again.

On the eve of Obama announcing executive action on guns that the NRA has vowed to fight in court, the administration unleashed the IRS on another political enemy.

Or what about Hillary’s emails and private email server? Oh my, I guess the Post and the rest of the media brethren find it more important to go after the NRA’s tax returns and (many years ago) Richard Nixon’s missing few minutes of phone conversation tape.

I wonder who leaked their tax filings. If the government wants you they can get you.

So many laws, tax code so complicated.

Surviving the ride is a lot harder, some times then beating the prosecution.

The government leaked all the forms. Whether the IRS, or wherever, it’s part of a coordinated preemptive campaign to put the NRA on the defensive and hamper their game in response to Obama Tyrant’s unconstitutional executive orders and executive memoranda.

I am sure the NRA has been audited going back to Clinton and if there was a problem the IRS would have been all over them

They aren’t going to do a wholesale country-wide grab. Far from it.

What they will do is implement mechanisms that allow them to target and dispose of the vocal elements and stalwarts of 2A. They’ll go after those who they know or suspect of being well-prepared and they will concoct (using these seemingly innocuous rules as cover) and these will be spread out and unpublicized except where it looks like what they did was preventive (huge cache of terror weapons seized! Hundreds of guns, a million rounds of ammo - right wing zealot planning terror....etc.)
