The year 2015 was a dismal one for American public education — at least by the numbers.
But don’t blame the kids. Parents are missing in action.
Except most Asian-American parents, that is. They tend to oversee their children’s homework, stress the importance of earning high grades and instill the belief that hard work is the ticket to a better life.
And it pays off. Their children are soaring academically.

The successful parents sound like the MILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR types.
Don’t be surprised if Trump makes a play for these people...who keep going to Democrats because Republicans are still trying to find advisers that speak Asian. All they can seem to find are ones that speak Chinese, Korean, Indian and Japanese, but no one that speaks Asian. No doubt the Republicans figure they can be competitive with Asians if they can can only find that magic person that speaks Asian without an accent.
However, unlike other Republicans, Trump, I suspect, knows that Asian is not a language and that puts him WAY ABOVE the other Republicans.
1. Unified families.
2. Put emphasis on education and hard work. Traditional values.
3. Average IQ higher than all other American groups.
Agree. Trump needs to make a play for these groups. They are proof the American dream is alive.
Culture, culture, culture
America survives, because there are still people who value education, develop a sense of responsibility and shame, and value the family as the base of society.

I was on a two lane highway today, for about 14 miles. The posted speed limit was 60 mph and full of no passing zones.
I could occasionally see ahead of me, about 6 cars up. The lead car drove between 40 to 45 mph all the way. Cars were stacked up behind me for a couple of miles.
All because of the slowest common denominator.
Given the opportunity and it wasn’t against the law, I might have shot the lead bastard.
Asians vote Democratic they are smart enough to figure out who is screwing them
As opposed to:
1. Baby mamas screwing around.
2. Put emphasis on sex and drugs. Liberal values.
3. No comment.
Asians do just fine in public schools.
In fact, their success belies a lot of the critiques of public schools, which attack teachers and excuse students, families and communities.
And not just academically. They're great at soaking up the collectivist indoctrination.
Don't "the chinks" understand that if you want to make it at Ivy League schools, it's "who you know", not what you know.
At Ivy League skools, soulless sociopaths NEED apply.

High IQ ? Explain India , average income of $3,000 a year, and China, average income of $8,000 a year. Sorry. India in particular is basically like Sub Saharan Africa.
We are seeing a non representative sample because legal immigration from India and China skews towards the professional classes. It’s extremely tough to immigrate from India and China unless you are very smart and / or have money.
That includes the
*ABCs = American born Chinese
**CIAs = Chinese in America: the most eclectic as they may or may not speak Chinese, may or may not be educated and may or may not even work.
***FOBs=Fresh off the Boeing.
The reason so many mainland Chinese flood our educational system is because it is so CHEAP compared to what they have to pay. Contrary to what the Commie Chinese say, education is still something for the elite, not the "huddled masses" of the USA.

The Indian government promised to do away with the caste system. And so they did but the ancient and pervasive idea of superior and inferior people stays with them.
One misconception is that the lowest caste, the untouchables, are not necessarily poor. Some of them are quite wealthy.
Conversely the Brahmin class (most superior) contains its very own share of bums, dumbos and wastrels.
It just so HAPPENS that the untouchable class, the lowest, is the darkest-skinned and the Brahmins, the by-nature-uppper-class are the lightest-skinned.
Why not find out what they are doing and imitate it instead of punishing it?
