Donald Trump seems to be solidifying at least a big chunk of delegates from the South, if not outright leads. Itâs important to remember that the primary isnât until March 1st, leaving plenty of time for candidates to lose support, gain support, or drop out.
The only thing I find truly interesting about this poll is Ben Carsonâs relative strength. His 11% is probably too far from the 20% required to be awarded at-large delegates, but heâs polling stronger in Tennessee than almost anywhere else. Marco Rubio is right behind him though at 10%, and could eventually become the establishment nominee if Cruz loses some support, and others start dropping out.

GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
Over 3/4 of the voters are rejecting establishment GOPe candidates.
Jeb at 3%
Expect that to change as Carson continues to fall.
First poll I’ve seen in my home state.
Go Trump.
Big Ed, I concede— without equivocation, that Donald is ahead in most state polls.
But what the heck is “overtime polls”?
Not stated in this is that this IS a surge in support for Cruz in TN!!
Yes, it is. Compared to the last polling I saw, Cruz has gained several points.
People in Tenn know a lot more than you think.
FYI
Interesting how few delegates the GOPee would win.
Yep. Go Ted.
After IA...most of these polls are going to be turned on their heads, Ted wins IA he will get the surge he’s seeing coalesce with his ground game in the southern states...these polls will change super fast and in Ted’s direction.
Unfortunately, the people of Tennessee know how to keep
re-electing Alexander and Corker.
Two Yuge RINO losers.
“Expect that to change as Carson continues to fall.”
Agreed.
I agree!!
I, too, think Carson will drop fairly quickly, especially if he finishes low in Iowa. By March 1, I do not think he will still be in it.

Sad, but true, tennmountainman. But Alexander was kept below 50% last year with an underfunded challenger (Joe Carr) who had never run for statewide office before. I think Carr could have pulled it out if the Senate Conservatives Fund, Heritage Action, and a few other conservative groups had backed Joe early on.
This could be a good year for Cruz and/or Trump in Tennessee.
