Frank Luntz is biased?
Who knew?
—> The Bill of Rights is not subject to amendment or modification of any kind. <—
-
I have never heard that before.
Why not?
(other than such action would likely result in rebellion)
“Duty, Honor, Country” always includes God therein.
Any true Christian will answer Christian first. He is either God of all or not God at all.
“but saying itâs alright to be Christian or Jewish before being American, but itâs not alright for muslims, thatâs absurd.”
No, not if you put it in proper context.
The tenants of the Koran for a true believer are not compatible with the Constitution of the United States. The tenants of the Jewish faith are.
Under our Constitution a Christian a Jew and atheist who practices their faith or non faith is not against Constitutional Law. A Muslim that practices his faith in accordance to Koranic Sharia is honor bound not to abide by the Constitution.
Constitutional law and Sharia can not exist side by side in peace in any nation.
I thought Moonies WERE Hari Krishnas.. ?!
Mooselimbs can cry foul all they care to about how they may be treated.
Maybe if they quit acting like savages then maybe they would deserve to not be treated like crap.
Until they take a stand against their many many crazed murderers then they all deserve to be lumped together and treated like the crap they are.
Bingo.
Yet many deny the political nature of Islam.
That’s because people don’t read The Bible... There are three types of laws recorded, moral, civil and ceremonial. Civil laws like the British driving on the wrong side of the road don’t apply here, neither do civil laws from another time and place.
Leni
“When we come for the Muzzies, remember Dorkbama the MUSLIM.”..... have no fear, he would be the number one priority.
Smart move.
When you find that you've dug yourself into a deep hole, the best way out is...
The nature of threads like this one generates nothing but opinions; some are better than others.
Some opinions are clearly based on a given level of both knowledge and reason.
All opinions are worthless without a hint of thought, or supporting explanations for holding any specific opinion.
No valid opinion can be entirely pulled out of dark places.
What part of "...shall make no law..." don't you understand?
That sentence, in fourth grade English means nothing other than "leave it alone!"
It, as most of the Constitution serves, prohibits and defines off limits on all branches of the Federal Government.
The Bill of Rights, particularly, does not grant powers or prohibit anything. It is simply ten statements of fact, which enabled the Constitution to be adopted, and in no way subject to change.
Q.E.D.
Congress can never have ANY power over the subject.
Luntz thinks Air Force 1 is Obama’s private jet.
yes! :)
OF COURSE I know that threat islam brings here.
I lost friends because of 9/11. you should have heard what I called then that day.
what set me off was the post about it being ok to be Christian or Jewish before being American. But not being muslim before being American.
that talk always scares me.
And if it were the case, NONE of us could in good conscience pay taxes, knowing money is going to PP. But we must. And we do. And we hope to vote in REAL conservatives next time.
I’m catholic, but this is not a theocracy.
of course slaughtering babies was SICK to me even when I went through my time of doubt.
It’s NOT natural to kill your own baby.
and gay marriage is so absurd I don’t know what to say.
Those two to me are so obvious that religion shouldn’t even be necessary to see they are sick.
Simple logic.
The Constitution consists of 7 Articles most with "Sections," and subsections.
The last three of the seven Articles have no underlying Sections at all, and had they so wished, the Founding Fathers would have made the Bill of Rights either Article 8, or several (i.e. 8,9,10 ).
The Federalist Papers, and the Record of the Constitutional Debates, make it crystal clear that the Bill of Rights was the sine qua non of the Constitution, and thus statements of fact, which by definition may not be debated, once agreed on.
Had that Bill of Rights not been added when it was, the Founding Fathers' descendants might still be debating the final form of the Constitution!
The Constitution is for rent?
I consider myself a true Christian, and I disagree totally.
I am an originalist. If our governance remains true to the Original Constitution as amply documented, its foundation in Christianity is crystal clear. Of the original colonies, ALL were Christian; Not even the slightest hint is in the record, as to why no mention of non-Christian religion was ever made, or no objection to the omission voiced.
Re: “What part of “...shall make no law...” don’t you understand?”
What are you talking about - what did I say that gave you the idea that I don’t understand the First Amendment?
