You do not understand Christianity.
it’s your opinion that I need more knowledge.
And I will not answer anymore responses to my post as I have no desire to be the lynching of the evening.
I know the year is young, but that's the dumbest statement of the year so far!
An absurdly low minority is 0.0001%
20-25% IS NOT!
Let's not get silly.
um, the part about turn the other cheek, he who lives by the sword, seventy times seven.
how do you pose to defeat muslims?
If you think that the percentage of European Christians who are anti semites is .00001 percent, who’s being ridiculous.
Darn those freeper opinions, truly terrible things!
Jews and Christians are instructed and trained to live peacefully in whatever lands fate may bring them to - and to be supportive of the society. See Bible such as Jeremiah 29:7: “ ‘Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.’”. Moslems, on the other hand, are instructed to hate, infiltrate, and eventually conquer Christians and other non- Moslems -— there are several Koran verses to this effect ( and they are ascribed to Mohammad’s later years after he gave up his more peaceable youth to become a military mercenary, invader, and mass- murderer). Such as in sura ( chapter) 9:5— “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambushâ¦.” with more verses along similar lines. The bottom line is that Christians and Jews who ambush, beseiege, or murder others are disobeying their God — and are the exception. Whereas Moslems who besiege, ambush, terrorize, subjugate or murder non- Moslems ( “infidels” — meaning most of us) are good Moslems obeying their religion’s commands. There are exceptions both ways, of course, but fundamentally there’s no moral equivalence — and certainly any objective and evenly minimally- aware person almost anywhere in the world can see the difference.
You’ve lost focus.
All I said that someone who is a Christian first and an American second is not a threat to the USA.
And I said that someone who is a Muslim first and an American second IS a threat to the USA. This is because Islam is a political system every bit as much as a religious system. Islam wants to replace a secular government with a theocratic government. THAT’S the problem.
Asking me how I, as a Christian, would “defeat Muslims” is a complete non sequitor to any point I was making.
Right there with you. Christian first, American second.
Is that you, Obungo?
"Holier than thou" by a factor of 15,000,000 is hardly trivial.
Your demonstrable ignorance makes it easy to dismiss you as a total "useful idiot."
I am confident that most Freepers have better sense than to take you seriously.
I don’t understand how becoming Muslim is going to help us against Muslims. The U.S. should stick with U.S. laws and traditions. Becoming more like Saudi Arabia is not the answer.
I couldn’t agree more. I think immigration should be halted.
but saying it’s alright to be Christian or Jewish before being American, but it’s not alright for muslims, that’s absurd.
i’m an American. I don’t care what calls for death in the old testament. If it violates the US constitution it’s out.
Believe me, I lost two firefighter friends from 9/11
there is no love lost. But America is not a theocracy and that one statement kind of set me off. that’s all.
Congress does not allow Freedom of Speech, That is a natural law. I wish someone could contact the artist so it can be changed.
Hey that’s what you Muslims need: rich liberal Jews to represent you. :)
The 1st Amendment
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Absolutely correct.
The Constitution establishes prohibitions and limits on Government, NOT on the People.
And, most importantly, The Bill of Rights is not subject to amendment or modification of any kind.
Absolutely correct.
We don t have a God-given right to tell lies or to spread errors. God is Truth. Error has no rights.
OTOH, we can have a justifiable civil right to tell lies or spread error if the effort to suppress lies and errors causes more vice than it prevents.
This is the case in America, where the suppression of errors and lies would cause more harm than good. But the spread of errors like **a fetus is a blob of tissue** cause great societal damage. There is no denying it.
We never really get to see the questions the telephone pollsters ask.......and how they're skewed, do we?
