Well, it seems to me they did ask for it. They should have thought through the whole situation before enlisting. Couldn’t they see the leftward slope of the country for the last 10 years? This was the inevitable outcome.

The vast majority of dumbass “decision makers” who make these dumbass decisions NEVER HAVE TO SUFFER FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR DUMBASS DECISIONS! AFTER ALL, THEY DON’T “DO” COMBAT!
“Lesser” people are the ones that suffer!
Send Ashton Carter to Afghanistan in full combat gear and let him find out what it is REALLY like!
Fancy “briefings,” YouTube gun camera movies and “professional” slideshows are a very poor substituted for patrolling the Hindu Kush looking for the murderous bastards who are trying to kill you!

The feminists hold the other women in contempt and their higher injuries on the battlefield and in training is their just deserts for failing to man up.

If they are not willing to go into combat, then they shouldn’t be called soldiers. They should be civilian employees.

One of the new ladies showing up on FOX, is Lea - a former Navy F-18 pilot .. and she’s awesome.
She discussed this issue on FOX, and agreed with what the Marines determined: Having females in the “combat” units was a hindrance to the efficiency of the unit. It was also a problem because the women were more frequently injured.
I really like this gal, she was on my local news .. and then all of a sudden she was whisked off to FOX. I’m hoping they plan to use her to replace Elizabeth (who just retired from FOX&FRIENDS). The two guys are super accomplished; as well as being smart and not liberal (as far as I can tell). I think Lea would fit in perfectly with them.

Even the Israelis, often cited by libs for using women in combat, wished up. IIRC they stopped the inclusion of women in combat years ago.

The greatest risk is that the services will be compelled to weaken standards and training.
I'm all for female SEALs...if the can pass BUDS and SERE as they are today.
That would be one tough b!tch. And deadly.
But there is not a woman in the world, now or throughout history that can or could.
Ever.

The only women thumping the drum for combat roles and commands are female officers. These climbers see these prime combat slots as a fast track to promotion and high rank (including general’s stars). You will not see female enlisted clamoring for these slots; only female officers. These are products of the PC idea that women can do everything a man can do. Sorry, ladies. Most of you can do the tasks of Special Warfare, armor, artillery, and infantry only if the service branch has two sets of standards — one that is uncompromising (for the men) and one that's compromised (so the women can give the illusion they can compete with men). In the real world, these fantasy images get you killed — along with team mates.

Exactly my point when some here say they want women to be in any draft for "fairness".
They lose sight of the fact that it's a relatively small minority of "activist" XX-chromosome beings that ask for this and that if we call for women to be draftable, we fall into the Leftist meme of ignoring the difference between the sexes. IOW, we become the enemy we claim to disagree so vehemently with....

Now women enlisting may find themselves involuntarily assigned a combat MOS based on the needs of the service instead of the jobs promised by their recruiter.
Who woulda thought of those unintended consequences??
