Anatomy of a Donald J Trump Rally
2 days prior I Googled âDonald Trump Grand Rapidsâ and found the reservation sight.
Tickets are free parking was 5$, some parked locally and walked
Protesters (Idiots) on the corner at entrance of parking, standing in the cold rain (ha ha!)
Line moves fast
No umbrellas or signs allowed inside, wall just outside used to leave for retrieval
6 airport like metal detectors manned by secret service (pleasant), random wanding
Long line at the concessions inside Elephant Ears, Frozen Lemonade, Dogs/Drinks
Entered the venue 1.5 hours before Trump spoke, about the right time to sit where you want. Found seat to take things in.
Local TV personalities doing on camera spots on the press stage, then down on the floor doing interviews with attendants. Hint: saw a couple gals with Trump antenna and a guy with a Trump shirt and hat get the interviews.
1 hour before the DJT, the event opened with a Prayer followed by Pledge of Allegiance (boyscout) / National Anthem (all with hands across heart, spoken and sung by audience) and America the Beautiful to finish.
10 min. prior to DJT they hand out hats and signs to those around the stage and signs if you`re up in the wings.
The Trump entrance was electric
Crowd was enormous and continued to pour in throughout the rally.
Security is excellent!
The first disruptor was in the sea of people front and center, plain clothes security appeared out of nowhere and moved him out. This guy came back again, no idea how that could happen.
Roughly 4 out of 6 disruptors were white male college age students all connected, they raised their hands over their heads make peace signs when pushed out. Of the two others, one looked like a 13 year old kid and the other like the town drunk.
Trumps response was perfect in all instances included this other kid he thought was a protester but instead had a Trump shirt and hat on â turned out big fan instead.
Camera pan moment was great. Trump shamed the press into panning the crowd. He was pointing at the guy in the middle and challenging him. At first they all just smiled and waved, then they actually panned the audience. Great moment.
All in all it was a great experience and well worth the drive to be part of history. It is a great feeling to stand with roughly 8000 patriotic Americans, have all say the pledge with hand over heart and sing the national anthem with conviction. Just as the national anthem was about to start a man yelled `hats off!` as a reminder and they all came off.
It`s surreal to listen live and watch the MSM news cycle revolve around your experience.
Go Trump Go!
That’s awesome!
A shame the press only covered ‘schlong’! lol
Excellent! Well done, Eddie!
Wow.
This crowd looks a lot bigger than the Columbus OH crowd, which was 14,500 (we had a pretty official count, as the facility held 15,000 and it was just short of capacity.
Thank you so much for your report. That was my experience too at an earlier rally. It is so wonderful to see America waking up and taking charge.
I will never go see any candidate anywhere because they expect me to check my 2nd amendment rights at the door of their event.
What better place for a leftist nut job/jihadist to go postal than a republican/conservative rally where the secret service isn’t there to protect you but the candidate. They disarm you and will leave you high and dry when the shooting starts and they are exiting the property.
I hope he come here (Silicon Valley,California)
Great report eddie01, great job.
Thanks
Trump is forcing the media to pan the crowds in prep for asking them (later) why they don’t pan Hillary’s half empty rooms.
He’s da’ Man!
Outstanding report! Thank you
Thanks for the report.
Go Trump Go!
I kinda think he does. He often mentions Patton and MacArthur too.
I remember the night before the November 1980 elections when Reagan had a large rally (in San Diego I think), the one where he famously told a heckler to "shut up." I think there were about 15,000 people at that rally.
It's amazing that Trump is drawing these kind of crowds a full year ahead of the elections.
Cool!
Just missed it.
