Graham criticizes GOP two-tiered debates (hurt his candidacy ... GPOe should never do this again)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) blames the GOP’s two-tiered debate system for hurting his presidential candidacy.

Graham, who on Monday dropped out of the GOP race for the White House, called the system "strange" and said Republicans should "never do this again."

"You just can't punch through when you've got a two-tiered system," added Graham, who never made the main stage of a GOP debate, where he might have been able to trade barbs with front-runner Donald Trump.

"I just don't see a way for me to get on the main stage in time to make a difference," Graham told CNN.

"We're going to have to start consolidating as Republicans."

Republicans have allowed about 10 candidates to appear on the main debate stage for each of their five contests, which has relegated lower-polling candidates such as Graham to an earlier debate.

if there was just a single tier then he would have been eliminated even earlier. Is his complaint that the system enabled him to last longer than he should have?

It will take a King Solomon decision to determine where his support goes.

I thought Carson dropped out after the First debate. I like the guy but he ain’t tough enough or on top of things. He won’t drop out because of the Obama effect: Nobody will require him to because it would be racist.

Nobody will require him to because it would be racist.

That would be true if he were a liberal but liberals hate blacks that leave the plantation as much as they hate conservatives and liberals run the press.

So the fact that he is polling less than 1% with conservatives has nothing to do with it? And, receiving a better reception from democrats than republicans has nothing to do with it? Typical liberal: politically tone deaf and blind, knows better than the little people, more interested in "leading" than "representing", and without any concept of what the term "fighting for you" means.

Since Lindsey is only polling 1.7% in his own state - where the people have seen him for decades - how would the people of the US seeing up on the main stage have made him any less of a loser. RealClearPolitics' latest from South Carolina: LINK

This is all so unfair.

"You just can't punch through when you've got a two-tiered system"

Hell, Princess Lindsey would never even consider a 'punch'.

Hitting someone with his purse? ok, that I can see.

She’s right, if you don’t poll at 5%+ you don’t get a debate invite - just one debate.

Of course being a not so in closet liberal pansy had absolutely nothing to with his lousy candidacy.

Bercause of GRaham, we got Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch as AGs and Kagan and Sotomayor on the US Supreme Court. He could have stopped all four of them in committee, but he would have been publically outed as a homosexual if he had.
