A black character plays a non-black character. Stormtroopers were all cloned from Bobo Fett
Of course, now I am sure there must be a gibsmedat type character rather than the smooth Lando type.
Regardless, I will ignore this along with all the other stuff that occurred after the first three.
Stars Wars fans, flame away, I give a shiite.
“One the leftscum and race baiters are projecting on the rest of us. IOW, their is none.”
As ever.
If you just saw the movie then maybe you can explain something.
As I understand it, this leading character who is Black is a Storm Trooper - right?
How is that possible, given that all Storm Troopers are clones of Jango Fett?
Darth Vader was black. I’m just sayin.
I am pretty sure I see orange, purple and other color aliens... how many of those are on Earth complaining
The reaction to having a black stormtrooper had nothing to do with racism. It was a gut reaction that they were messing around with the universe as badly as George Lucas did. Previously they established that all stormtroopers were clones of a guy who wasn’t black. As long as they came up with a rational explanation of why a black man can be a storm trooper in this movie, I am fine with it. Just don’t mumble something about midichorines, or I want my damn money back.
Nope... All the Clone Troopers were slaughtered after Episode 3. Storm Troopers under the Empire were conscripts. And in the new movie, same thing. The "First Order" bad guys took young boys from their families and indoctrinated them and trained them to be storm troopers.
This crap happens every time a new Star Wars movie comes out. The first was a smash and since you couldn’t _see_ James Earl Jones doing the voice of Darth Vader, Leftist idiots just assumed no African Americans (or British Nigerians, or whatever) were involved. So Hollywood and Lucas made sure you actually _saw_ at least one in every film going forward and backward.
And yeah, Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu swings a light saber in two of the three prequels he’s in!
Close. Jango Fett was the source material for the clonetroopers. Boba is Jango’s son. With no mother we saw. The guy who played Jango in the prequels was a Maori, I think.
There's a Star Wars/Blazing Saddles joke in there somewhere.
Where is the explanation of that in the movies? If its in books or something it doesn’t count. And only considering the movies you can infer that they were still clones in episode IV, as Leia remarks, “Aren’t you a little short to be a stormtrooper?’
I made the same point on a Thread a while ago.
Another FReeper corrected me saying that those were the first Storm Troopers, not the latest Storm Troopers.
I didn’t get the Memo, so I had to turn in my Nerd Card.
I guess they opened up the Ranks to regular Folks since Terrorists will stop being Terrorists if they get a Job, or something.
Are there any Female Storm Troopers? If not, there will be.
If anybody wants me I'll be over here on the Dark Side.
Did you ever wonder how that character dealt with being surrounded by so many Assholes on the bridge crew?
