I like Cruz.

But how would Cruz run without money from the GOPe?

They’d prefer Hillary to Cruz.

So why support a guy who will never have the money to run?

Trump’s the only chance. Cruz as VP. One term Trump (he’s old).

Then two terms of Cruz.

What’s the flaw in this thinking?

You base that accusation on WHAT evidence? Cruz has the 2nd most amount of money (not counting Trump who is self funded) in the Republican race after Jeb Bush.

A billion dollar plus general election.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/230318-the-5-billion-campaign

Cruz has raised 34 million.

Eventually the RNC and Republican mega-donors will have to be activated. They won’t back Cruz. He won’t have anywhere to go.

Like I said, You have provided 0 evidence that Cruz will not be able to raise funds for a general election.

Just because you say that the “establishment will not” back Cruz in the general election doesn’t make it so.

Neither does the fact that their are other sources of funding that “take my ball and go home” establishment figures, the scant few that there may be.

Add all these factors together and it becomes clear why establishment Republicans are so concerned, especially in the wake of Trump’s inflammatory call to ban Muslims from entering the United States. Cruz, meanwhile, has been enjoying a rapid rise in the polls.

“Listen, I think both Cruz and Trump would have a similar impact on the party, neither of which would be very good. I am actually more concerned about Cruz than I am about Trump,” said GOP strategist John Feehery, a former senior leadership aide who is a columnist for The Hill.

Feehery added, “I think Cruz has made a reputation of relentless mendacity ... I think he’s a demagogue and I think he’ll destroy the party. I think Trump is much more of a blowhard. But there’s not really a dime’s worth of difference between Trump and Cruz.”

But you think the establishment is going to hand Cruz hundreds of millions of dollars?

Why?

They are okay with Hillary.

The GOPe in Congress is doing their bidding.

They’d rather keep the GOPe in power and work with Hillary (as they did with Bill Clinton) and let Cruz fail. They’d be happy to do so.

Cruz has the legit conservative credentials and is the best conservative in the race. But politics is a money game. Cruz would be left to die on the vine.

The Uniparty must be preserved at all costs. We need to destroy it and Trump can do that. I think he’s a one-termer and Cruz is a likely VP or Supreme Court pick.

A team can help a little getting delegates for the nomination. He has as much chance of getting Minnesota’s electoral votes as I do, and I withdrew from the race before Walker and Jindal.

There is evidence here that he will raise money. Cummins and The Freedom Club of Minnesota. Any conservative who has run a tough campaign against an incumbent Democrat and won, knows the value of the support of the Freedom Club.

Their are several tea party names on that list. They will get their conservative voters to caucus and primary. They will elect their delegates and be heard at local conventions. They will ensure conservative candidates are available all the way down the ballot. And that is a good thing.

Thank you Ted Cruz

If you think Trump, if he wins the nomination, will go thru the campaign using his money? I have a bridge as well as some beach front property in Arizona to sell you. I will take at least a billion, at least just to hold even with hillary. Another 300 million if he wants to bury her.

The GOP will HAVE to come on board with lots of money or lose.

But how would Cruz run without money from the GOPe?

Trump's the only chance. Cruz as VP. One term Trump (he's old).

Then two terms of Cruz.

What's the flaw in this thinking?

I guess the biggest flaw assumes that the GOPe is the best source of funding - far too many want someone else to do the heavy lifting and then consider their job to consist of going to the polls or whining about how we never have a conservative to vote for.

If everyone that wants a real conservative would donate time/money to a real conservative's campaign, we wouldn't be in this bind.

Lots of folks like to opine and practice their punditry, but far too many of them don't donate a sou to the cause.

What's the flaw of this thinking........

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz
