England has a Christian culture, despite only 2% attending church. To reject that culture might very well result in a third world civilization.

a “time for reflection”? yeah, that will go over well, especially with the teachers who have to supervise it. and exactly what are they supposed to reflect against? one of the primary functions of religion is to establish an objective standard of behavior against which to compare oneself. run around reflecting without an external standard long enough and, well, you get Obama,or worse, the cult of victimization and it is a very short step from self-pity to paranoia.
Gee that “judge” is echoing words of our President and his minions from quite a while back...
Europe died in 1914.
They wiped out their cultures. This war ended in 1945.
They replaced belief in God with belief in state.
They’re gone without a massive revival.
