Julianne Moore, Jennifer Aniston, and Amy Schumer were among a group of Hollywood celebrities who joined President Obama in a post-San Bernardino gun control video ad produced by Everytown for Gun Safety.
The three actresses were joined by other celebrities-including Kevin Bacon, Michael J. Fox, Sofia Vergara, Sarah Silverman, Ty Burrell, and Nick Offerman-each of whom take turns looking into the camera to say, "We can end gun violence." No one explains how to end it, but they take turns saying the words and, at times, repeat the sentence over and over together.
Obama takes time to say, "When we come together, Americans can do anything."
Film director Spike Lee also appeared in the post-San Bernardino gun control video, as did gun control proponent Shannon Watts and the Reverend Al Sharpton.
But the problem these celebrities and activists face is that the gun control measure of choice-expanded background checks-is already the law of the land in California. Yet such checks were impotent to stop the attacks. Obama and others have tried to distract from this failure by pushing to add the no-fly list to background checks, in essence pretending the checks are not as thorough as they should be until the no-fly list is included. However, on December 4, CNN reported that San Bernardino attackers Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik were not on âany listâ pertaining to potential terrorists in the US. So the addition of the no-fly list would not have stopped them from legally acquiring guns.
Now what? Should we add gun registration? California already has that. Should we add magazine capacity limits? Many areas of California have that. Should we add a focus on getting guns away from the mentally ill? California already has a program to confiscate guns from those barred from gun possession for mental or criminal reasons.

Apparently, skanks on parade....I’d have expected better from Aniston.
Girls’ night out. How cute.
Hmm seems they trying to bring back the 4 Stooges.
Yet, I’ll wager they often go out in public with armed security. smh
Agreed, Jennifer is the only one on the list that surprises me. Thought she had better sense than that. So much for the girl next door American beauty.
Would you rather confront a 6ft 4 male intent on rape and murder with your bare hands or a fire arm?
A video of celebrity simpletons. How quaint.
Shut up and act.
CelebuTards. Always the first people I go to for guidance on matters of serious importance.
You could shake all of their brains together and get nary a spark.
I wouldn’t - I always knew Anniston was a foul-mouthed Leftist hooker.
This is the kind of stuff that gets them invited to the right parties in Hollywood.
ISRA Thursday Bulletin - December 10, 2015
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
The last few weeks have to be placed in the “never a dull moment” category, if you keep such things. When the terrible shootings occurred in California the anti-gunners were having a field day dancing in the blood of the victims. It was a “work place violence”, they claimed, and gun control would be the solution. On Thursday December 3rd, HR 3762, known as the Restoring American Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act, came up for a vote. In typical left wing fashion, members of the anti-gun tribe tried to attach anti-gun amendments to the bill. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) caught wind of it and blew the whistle on them. The NSSF sent out a hasty alert followed by the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA). In the end, the anti-gunners got nowhere but this shows us all that they will try anything and stop at nothing. The vote was 52 -47; the bill required 60 votes. Of course, Senator Dick Durbin and Senator Mark Kirk voted for the gun control measures. On Saturday, December 5th, the New York Times put an editorial on the front page telling all of us to give up our guns. The New York Times seems to forget that during the Civil War they mounted three Gatling guns on the building to protect the newspaper from rioters - too bad they got those Gatling guns.
These are just a few examples of what gun owners are going to face in the coming weeks, months and years.
Meanwhile, the President is still blaming climate change for terrorism. Let me tell you what climate change is all about. The purpose of the climate change argument is to get a set of international agreements which can then be built on, to demolish each nation’s sovereignty, particularly that of the United States, and bring about “one world government” run by left wingers. In short, someone in China or Africa will decide what we can and can’t do here in the United States. Of course the United Nations would love that.
I’m sure when the FBI called what happened in California “terrorism”, all of the left wing anti-gun people in the White House, Washington DC and elsewhere got a bellyache. Then a few people like the Chief of Police in Detroit suggested that one or more armed people in the room could have saved lives. On Black Friday there was somewhere around 185,000 instant background checks preformed. People purchased over 200,000 forearms on Black Friday. Clearly Americans are not buying the manure the administration is selling.
What to do next? First of all, I would invest in firearms, ammunition and training. This would make a great New Year’s resolution.
On Sunday evening, the President addressed the citizens of the United States. So, what did we learn that was new? Nothing. The President is still in his when in doubt mumble mode. The only clear idea was that he is going to attack our gun rights. Of course, after such a weighty speech, he was off to a gala event.
We have received many phone calls regarding the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) release of the 1911’s. I don’t know when this will take place but I am on the list to be notified when it will happen. Remember: you need to be an ISRA member to get one of these historic firearms. Your spouse can also get one of these vintage firearms, but they also must be a member and have a valid FOID card. The same is true for your 21-year-old (or older) children. If you are not a member, please join the ISRA today!

That would do it for me. Show me a video with a bunch of people I couldn’t hope to identify and I’ll support repeal of the 2nd Amendment. Like hell!
The default position on celebrities today is that they are liberal idiots until proven otherwise.
Didn’t know that. Thanks
Cool. But the truth of the matter is, these guns were purchased in California which has the hardest laws and background checks of any states, and the terrorists bought them here. The fault goes to the DHS and the FBIS for failing to see all the warning signs on these two. Hell, they had pipe bombs. You don’t go to the local hardware store and order pipe bombs. They are covertly made. And with 3D printers today you don’t need to buy guns. No, this ad is foolishness. Terrorists will get weapons even if you ban all guns in the US.
A lot of blood will be on the heads of these dimwits who want more innocent citizens killed because they are unarmed.
Someone needs to do a remake of this where they replace some of the “STARS” with past and current America hating dictators and isis figures ranting about gun control....
The danger that these brainwashed Lefties are cause would probably be less if all three of them went out on a shooting spree.
If you factor in the power a government would have if our guns were all taken, you could give these three stooges a dozen fighter planes, some tanks and a few hundred bombs.
Movie companies should be forced to give new starlets a course in Reality.
