Washington (CNN)—Donald Trump said Thursday that he is postponing his trip to Israel, just a day after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned his proposal to ban U.S. travel for all Muslims.
"I have decided to postpone my trip to Israel and to schedule my meeting with @Netanyahu at a later date after I become President of the U.S.," Trump tweeted.

Why would Bibi criticize what Trump said? In fact, why did he weigh in at all? He has no ally in Obama, so no idea why he would speak out. Bad move on his part. Trump is Israel’s friend.

Someone wrote the other day that Bibi’s comments were twisted by the media, so I’m not sure anymore if Bibi really did criticize him or not. I will have to look more closely into it.
I agree. Simple postponement without comment would have been better, IMO, but Bibi rides a chariot pulled by tigers.
All I saw was the bare bones statement on twitter that Netanyahu “rejected” recent comments by Trump about Moslems. That was it. Very bland, and short of condemnation.

Israel is surrounded by muslim countries, if anyone had a right to respond to Trump's statement, it's Bibi.
Trump still hasn’t figured out he’s playing in a different park and the game is entirely different ,so are the plays. He needs to get out of bashing mode and at least try to be Presidential when it calls for that....doesn’t look like he can go to that place very easily.
It’s really annoying watching someone who might be President sit down and whine like a kid in a school yard who can’t handle that not everyone can be bullied.
I take offense to any foreign official weighing in as an official on our election processes. It doesn’t matter who, what, or pro or con. It’s not their business.
Netanyahu’s statement had nothing to do with the American election, he was addressing the “ban muslims” comment by Trump.
Here is IMO the answer. Speaking the truth about Islam as a national discussion that could start a probably needed WW3.
Notice no politician since Bush after 9-11 has spoken the truth about Islam straight out.
This is a game IMO and was a bad strategy. Since 9/11 Islam said game on and have been growing their populations, moved everywhere with a role and have threatened to conquer by the womb. So we have been allowing the opposing antagonists to grow their armies and maybe helped facilitate it.
Bibi knows there is no desire in the Western world right now to fully go for a WW3, so though he may agree 100% with Trump’s views on immigrant Muslims he does not share a desire to appear siding with Donald when there is even the slightest chance of that appearing to be messing with our national elections or wanting to start a bigger fight with Radicals right now with little world support.

Hmm. So far, I’d say he’s doing it just right. His poll numbers only go up. Bibi has no choice. He can play with Trump, or he can be a doormat for Obama. I personally think Bibi made a terrible blunder here, but it’s his country. Israel just did some big aid package that for the first time was endorsed by the UN-—so maybe he didn’t want to torpedo that.
But then Israel bans Muslims all the time. Puts massive limits on Muslim movement in the country of Israel, does not give Palestinian descendants a “right of return,” keeping them out of the country, and treats non-Jews differently under the law than Jews themselves in terms of government assistance for housing and the ability to gain citizenship.
Israel’s immigration system is a system designed solely to defend the interests and security of Israel.
So why is Trump getting bashed for wanting to change our multi-culti “let’s benefit everyone but ourselves” immigration system to defend us physically and further our interests?
When Bibi starts bringing in Syrian refugees or giving Muslims the same benefits under the law in Israel, he can talk s*** about Trump’s moratorium on Muslim immigration.
I wonder if it came down to Trump’s security said no way, no how, going anywhere near the middle east right now?
Bibi, if you want your Muslims, you can keep your Muslims... period.
