Cruz makes his play... must be about money.

Trump says keep them out until we can “figure this Muslim thing out.” That’s the feds doing their #1 job of protecting the United States.

Cruz says put a “moratorium” on Muslim immigration. That sounds like government-speak - don’t know what that means, but we don’t need government-double-talk-speak right now.

We are at war whether we like it or not. It’s time for the feds to DO THEIR JOB for once and be very clear and determined to protect us and our homeland. Trump is speaking in plain English, Cruz is not IMO.

That is the problem with Ted Cruz he is often on both sides of an issue until he figures out which way the political wind is blowing. He is a weather vane politician.

Folks have been faulting Trump as having an impractical proposal. Well the gun control crowd has been telling us that even partial is better than nothing. And there hasn’t been a gun yet that took umbrage at Western civilization and took it upon itself to perform a massacre.

This all happened 600 years ago across Europe. The result was Islam was outlawed and the Muslims (Muslim invaders, forced converts and their descendants) were required to convert to Christianity or leave.

This implies that they can know who’s Muslim. At the least this would keep it underground.

Yeah, that’ll really fix things Ted.

Sorry to correct you, but in the interest of accuracy...last week, Cruz proposed a moritorium on immigration from countries with a connection to terrorism.

Solves the same problem...but in a more defensible fashion.

The Muslims who are citizens are our cross to bear. The Constitution makes it so (unless amended).

The ones who want to come under some kind of visitation policy or immigration policy aren’t required to be treated so high mindedly.

How would that stop the murderous Muslims in Sweden from coming here. And 3 years with no specific goal is like Obama announcing troop withdrawal dates- they wait. Trump said no Muslims until representatives figure out what is going on— a goal.

The EU does not ‘hand-out’ passports. At best, you can enter Greece and get a piece of paper which allows you to transit Greece to somewhere else (not staying in Greece is the intent). Any Syrian or Iraqi....is Syrian or Iraqi until they get full citizenship....that means classes in language, integration and citizenship. It would take a full year to get to the point where they’d (an individual European country) give you visa card, and figure three years to get to the point of some citizenship where you’d be offered that country’s passport.

There are still 19 enemy-held governorships, Ted.

I’m wondering if he’s going to try to “walk back” this statement a bit by tomorrow.

I am willing to vote for Cruz in the general, and I certainly anticipate that he would be a better POTUS than any of the Republican nominees (there were better candidates) since 1988.

This illustrates the greatest reservation I have about Cruz. Can sufficient ‘peer pressure’ be brought to make him crack and equivocate or compromise. This indicates to me that yes, it can. When he has something to lose, Cruz will play an excessively cautious game, IMO. He -knows- better. But does he truly have the grit? I think not. This is a question about fortitude, not intellect.

Yep. History repeats once again. What people forgot is that in history the muslims rampaged the known world and killed millions, only to be killed themselves. Blood will be spilt in their direction before this is over.

Cruz does what more politicians should:

Stop slamming the other guy.

Make your proposal straight to the voters.

Let us decide.

That’s honorable, informative, and effective.

Go Cruz!
