The EU does not ‘hand-out’ passports. At best, you can enter Greece and get a piece of paper which allows you to transit Greece to somewhere else (not staying in Greece is the intent). Any Syrian or Iraqi....is Syrian or Iraqi until they get full citizenship....that means classes in language, integration and citizenship. It would take a full year to get to the point where they’d (an individual European country) give you visa card, and figure three years to get to the point of some citizenship where you’d be offered that country’s passport.
Yet somehow some “refugees” are getting their hands on EU passports and coming here- maybe it takes a while-but it is happening.
