(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

I can’t agree at this point, it is long past time to strip Islamists of their religious protections. When the bedrock of a “religion” is a prophet who bedded a 9-year-old, thinks pictures of him are an abomination, advocates for the murder of nonbelievers, and so on and so on, then it is no longer a religion, it is a murderous cult.

Bar Islamists from entering the country, mark the ones that are here now, and deport them.

“Our problem is not the Muslims I study with, it’s the Muslims who openly and actively support terrorists.”

I hate to tell you, but the muslims you study with support the terrorists. If they tell you otherwise they’re just practicing taqiyya.

You’ll never be sure until they show up at work and shoot up a party just like Farook did.

"Stupid, Ted. Stupid"

I don't believe it's stupidity.

It's weakness. He does not want to suffer the incoming fire FROM EVERY DIRECTION.

Or, it could be that he just plain believes it's wrong.

But I'm going with weakness.

Well, Trump already packs so it’s not that much of a stretch.

I watch his speeches online, now and again, nearly expecting him to whip out a .45 and wing a heckler.

:D

Yeah. A bad moment. Not a deal killer, but definitely some structural damage there.

If we learn that Cruz didn’t say this, then he moves back to first choice with me.

Well, Ted. I WAS going to vote for you.

But now, the only worthy candidate is Trump.

I know, I know, there are high minded people who are concerned that a web being spun now might entangle Christians at some point.

Seems to me there are two ways around this. Either be clever about not putting anything actually ideology-aware into your anti jihadist web (Cruz), or just cut the web with forcefulness (Trump).

I think we need to get out those scissors. IMHO, or maybe you don’t think I am so humble.

Giving governors more power over refugees being resettled in their states?
Such as this goof?

Charlie Baker: Donald Trump’s stance ‘completely inappropriate’

Brilliant plan, Ted. /s
_____________________________________________________

From the article you cited:
“’It runs against what I think was sort of one of the founding principles of this country, which is religious tolerance, religious freedom,’ Baker added”

The apologists for muslims such as Baker have entered a circular bit of logic from which there is no escape. They say we must grant muslims entry because of “religious tolerance, religious freedom.” Islam, however, is a religion that does not permit religious tolerance nor religious freedom.

Permitting a “religion” that exists for no real reason other than to destroy, violently, other religions is... not very tolerant and doesn’t exactly promote religious freedom, does it?

Always love to read your forthright and unequivocating statements, even the vanishing few where we disagree.

Oh, and agree with this, 100%.

The greatest mistake we make is to deny the blind, all encompassing, absolute hatred they hold for *all* who are not *them*.

Politifact is just another opinion and they didn’t account for the application of law. So, no, I don’t take legal advice from political websites like politifact or snopes.

Yes, it is a rare thing, but I disagree with Ted. He is being lawyerly about it, probably wondering how you enforce a religious ban. Who is Muslim? The guy who attends a mosque, sure. What about the secular Muslim in Iran, Iraq or Egypt who isn't active, but who hates Israel and who would not mind if Muslims transform America into a more Middle Eastern country? What about the person from a Muslim country who is not Muslim in outlook in any way?

Trump could be more precise, but he isn't going for a legal brief. It resonates.
