Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said Friday that Californiaâs strict gun-control laws failed to prevent the San Bernardino mass shooting, and that lawmakers need to seek âbetter answers.â
âThis issue goes beyond gun control,â Mr. Hogan told the Baltimore Sun outside a local diner.
âCalifornia has the toughest laws in the country. We probably have the second toughest. It hasnât stopped us. We have more than 315 murders here in Baltimore City, we had a tragedy in California,â Mr. Hogan said. âWeâve got to come up with better answers.â

Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Larry, Larry, Larry, Let me speak, Larry.
Do you think terrorists obey gun laws, you bonehead?
Not likely to come from Hussein.
I told a friend today that California has the strictest gun control laws in America so how did these guns happen to get into the state. Of course he said that they were brought in from Arizona or Idaho a very easy state to get weapons. You can’t win with these people.
I MISUNDERESTIMATED WHAT HE WAS SAYING!!!
I need some wine.
Just how well did that Malvo and Muhammad thing work out?
A good place to start would stop all the third world countries from dumping their garbage on America. Then, throw out all of the garbage they already dumped on us.
All you had to do was visit the pop-up laden WT web site and read the rest of the article (while it hijacked your browser).
:-D
A good place to start would be to establish a federal CCW permit good in all fifty states. Fifty seven if Obama protests. As long as you have a state issued CCW you get a federal CCW. Go to any federal courthouse in your state and pick it up.
The states would continue their CCW programs. NJ, NY, CA & NJ could continue being bone heads. Those in the four states that wanted a CCW states would have additional incentive to move out.
You canât win with these people.
You’re right. It’s a waste of time. They really are Stuck on Stupid.
Actually, I am so rummy, stunned, gobsmacked, and mind-numbed from the idiocy going on, I’m just primed to go off.
I read a word or two and off I go. This has happened more than once.
The things being said by news people, politicians and others right now have me reeling. Humans are frail, weak and not very smart—self included, but at least some of us have an instinct for self-preservation and the protection of future generations. Others? I wonder.
Radical terrorist muslim control. If these fools think they will prevail, they should read about Lexington and Concord qnd the following results. Idiots. Each time they attack, iur resolve strengthens. Muslim flag over DC. Never. Ever.
How about border control as an answer?
How about banning immigration by Muslims?
How about increasing surveillance of mosques which are reported to be riddled with Islamists?
the only long term solution liberals have is 100% confiscation. Ain’t gonna happen
It’s like no kind of law stops any kind of criminal from doing anything.
And what’s even more mind blowing than that is when a criminal is about to commit a violent crime against you, but you stop them by shooting them dead where they stand with your gun.
‘I told a friend today that California has the strictest gun control laws in America so how did these guns happen to get into the state. Of course he said that they were brought in from Arizona or Idaho a very easy state to get weapons. You canât win with these people.’
And if the US banned all guns, the illegal aliens would be backpacking in guns instead of dope because guns will be more profitable.
If you went back in time and killed the guy who invented guns, it still would not help because someone else would eventually come up with the idea.
That is why gun control does not work. It makes you less secure not more.
The proper response is asking what the limit is on pipe bomb sales in those states.
What I can’t figure out is how those guns are well behaved when they’re in gun friendly states, but once they cross the border into California, NJ, NY, MD, etc., they suddenly go on a rampage.
