GOP upstart shocks with outreach to blacks, the real reason for MSM vitriol
Donald Trump's outreach effort to black leaders this week was portrayed as a botched and bungled meeting, a circus in which the mouthy billionaire declared that the 100-plus pastors in attendance would be endorsing his bid to grab the GOP presidential nomination, only to have the men of God themselves say, not so fast, Donny T.
The cables and the networks and the newspapers mocked the meet-and-greet, even before it happened. And here's why: Trump had shocked again. This non-candidate who has no business running for president was far out ahead of the other wannabes in the GOP. Mock all you want, but Trump was meeting with black leaders.
Monopoly power. Donald a Trump, as a successful real estate developer, knows how powerful corporate monopolies can be. Unchecked, monopolies kill competition and distort free market principles.
He is savvy enough to see that the Democrats' hold on the black vote in America is ripe for a bust-up. Conservative principles, properly explained and advocated, will empower, and energize African Americans from all backgrounds. But the fact of the matter is for decades Republicans have largely steered clear of potentially uncomfortable situations in predominantly black areas. But not Donald Trump. He writes his own rules.
Behind the media maelstrom is evidence that the Republican front-runner's outreach efforts to the African-American community are having an impact. Just having the temerity to meet with black pastors surprised the pillars in the mainstream media. More significantly, Trump is making real inroads into a constituency that has been basically untouchable for Republicans since the 1960s....

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Herman Cain on his ticket or in his cabinet. Cain was VERY positive toward Trump.
“....This non-candidate who has no business running for president.....” Well, the lyin’ king had no business running for (p)resident and it seems to have worked out just swell for him and his family. Don’t you feel honored to know we’ll be paying this assclown and protecting him the rest of his life. Wonder where that position falls in the Secret Service list of requested duty assignments.
Not a too negative an article...
Many of the pastors at the meeting did support him, a few denounces those supporters with hateful rhetoric.
They complained how they got nothing for their support, using the words “at least prostitutes get paid”
I am not sure what their point was- They would be willing to prostitute themselves if Trump paid them? I assume like Democrats do?
Cain is a good man. Very successful CEO at Godfather's pizza.
I'd think that both he and Trump are on the same wavelength when it comes to "what's best for America."
Forget the conservative principles crap. The issue is immigration. The Dems support amnesty and increased immigration. Immigrants take jobs from blacks and depress wages.
Typical LIBERAL DEMOCRAT response. "WHAT do we get if we support you?"
How about a more benevolent mindset... "If we support you what are you going to DO for America?"

Love these gals. Viewers View/Diamond and Silk! True supporters for TRUMP! Some of their videos are pretty good.
Thanks for the ping
Monopolies are rarely good for anyone trapped in them. The dems and GOPe could care less about freeing blacks from the monopoly of liberal slavery. Out of anyone in politics, Trump seems to be alone in taking action towards freeing the slaves by simply reaching out to them from a conservative position.
The past:
Obama-Sharpton:
School to Prison Pipeline
The future (we hope):
Trump-Cruz etc.
Dignity of employment
I'm thinking Herman Cain might be damaged goods due to the way he exited the 2012 race, but what about Sen. Tim Scott from SC or Allen West. Ben Carson...maybe. But I think he damaged himself the past few weeks.
To my knowledge they changed that law after Clinton left office, he will get protection for a couple more years then after that he is on his own, but Clinton is the last person to get protection for life.
Thanks for your pings. Still overwealmed with baking.
Black VOTES matter!
Great charts—thanks.
Any one of those would be a formidable ticket.
