I actually remember when LSD was still legal.
They gave it away on sugar cubes at the local head shop/waterbed store.

Had my 50th high school reunion this year. In the followup. “What ever happen to so-in-so?” sessions, I learned what happened to a friend.

Nicest guy you could ever meet. Reasonably smart, star football player, class president for 4 years, kind & humble.

He was in Chicago at the time of the Democrat Convention anti-war riots and came out of the experience a radicalized anti-war protester. Ended up “fleeing” to Canada.

Returned years later, ended up murdering his grandmother and was found “not guilty” by reason of insanity. Spent the remainder of his life in the looney bin, eventually dying of MS.

How could this happen to such a nice guy? I eventually surmised that while with the anti-war crowd he ended up taking LSD or something and had a “BAD TRIP”.

“Expand your mind!”

Riiiiiight! NO WAY!

Psychoactive in the microgram range, it’s always a small dose.

Except when you take it and trip that you haven’t taken it. So you take more.

Whoa. I break out in a sweat just imagining that. ;)

That would be micro. With macro,
the cards melt before you can play them.

No, but it looks like it’s going to take them to fix it.

Taking hallucinogenic drugs for performance is by no means a new concept.

Both CS Lewis, Aldous Huxley, and JRR Tolkien were reported users of hallucinogens.

"The billionaires I know, almost without exception, use hallucinogens on a regular basis," Silicon Valley investor Tim Ferriss told the outlet. "[They're] trying to be very disruptive and look at the problems in the world ... and ask completely new questions."

Instead of straining their brains, they could come to my place and get a brain-full for free. :-)

One nation under sedation, more and more every day.

People are drinking more, doping more, "expanding their minds" more.

It's almost like they can't take our current reality. Oh wait ....

Are the 60's back?
