Craig Shirley, author of Last Act: The Final Years and Emerging Legacy of Ronald Reagan, is an impressive writer with a vast knowledge of Reagan's terms as president who has nonetheless gotten a very important part of Reagan's legacy wrong. Shirley has written about how Reagan would have reacted to the Paris massacre by enlisting today's "Christian Russia" and "free market China" in a coalition against Islamic terrorism.

I think Ted needs to learn more about the program and how it is and is not used, and then explain that to the voters.

Cliff Kincaid, amnesty, open borders Rubio, and the unlimited surveillance enforcement of the Patriot Act on those defined by the Obama Islamic Socialist DemoRat regime as probable domestic "terrorists".

This issue demonstrates that Cruz is not simply a conservative, but a constitutional conservative. Because of his background he approaches all issues through a constitutional lens.

Sometimes this is hard to accept in a world of international terrorism.

I know one person who agrees with him:
“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” - Ben Franklin

“I previously noted that what Shirley and other Snowden supporters ignore is the fact that the NSA’s surveillance activities rely mostly on Ronald Reagan’s Executive Order 12333 and that funding and manpower for the NSA increased dramatically under Reagan.”

When Reagan was around, the NSA was FORBIDDEN to spy domestically on US citizens! He might have felt very differently if he knew what they were trying to do nowadays.
