FOX News Poll: Trump gains, Carson slips, Cruz and Rubio climb in GOP race
Fox News ^ | 10/22/15 | Dana Blanton

OP front-runner Donald Trump widens his lead in the nomination race, while Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz threaten to overtake Ben Carson for the number two spot.

Those four once again constitute the top tier in the latest Fox News national poll on the 2016 election.

In addition, Rubio joins Carson as the only candidates at least half of voters say are honest and trustworthy -- though Carson’s honesty rating has taken a hit. More on that later.

First, here’s how the GOP race stands: Trump remains in the top spot with a record 28 percent support from Republican primary voters. He was at 26 percent in the last Fox poll, which was completed before the last debate and the Paris attacks (November 1-3, 2015).

Carson drops from 23 percent to 18 percent in the new poll. Cruz and Rubio are both up three points and garner 14 percent each.

All others are in the low single digits: Jeb Bush gets 5 percent, while Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, and Mike Huckabee each get 3 percent. John Kasich and Rand Paul receive 2 percent a piece. (snip)

None of these should be part of the next GOP debate.

Seems like the Republican race is finally getting settled.

Cruz is doing well too, showing that he can pull-in a lot of support. Sets him up very well as the VP choice, so as to balance the ticket.

You're right, but you know the GOPe hasn't given up on its designated loser, Jeb, yet. So he will have to stay in the debates.

I do not understand why anyone would vote for Rubio, which is a vote for amnesty, the abandonment of the rule of law and the death of the Republic.

“... Rubio joins Carson as the only candidates at least half of voters say are honest and trustworthy — though Carson’s honesty rating has taken a hit....”
******************************************************************************
As to the belief that Rubio, of all people, is “honest and trustworthy”...it goes to show how woefully misinformed our electorate is. Betrayal of his “Tea Party” supporters by going all-in with Schumer on Amnesty & Open Borders as soon as he got to Washington displays his complete lack of honesty & good character.

I saw a poll number yesterday that was saying Cruz had pulled even with Carson (in the #2 spot) @ 18.

That was a big surprise I’m sure .. but when you see the size of crowds Cruz is pulling .. If the media was truthful, Cruz might have been rated a lot higher a lot sooner.

Crowds are nice but mean very little. Sarah Palin pulled bigger crowds 8 years ago than anybody. Romney pulled bigger crowds four years than Obama. Crowds are nice..

Yes, the debate “criteria” for next months debate in Las Vegas currently would allow 9 of these clowns to be on the stage.

I’d personally like to have only the four top contenders. Let Trump, Carson, Rubio and Cruz sharpen each other up and see what happens.

Well, if you look at your side panel .. the article with the title of Cruz catching Carson .. is right there in front of your eyes.

Sometimes it pays to read your side panels.

Or Carson who is just not competent for the job. I guess people don’t bother to really look at a candidate. They vote from emotion, not common sense.
