A lot of good it will do them to issue laws sucking up to Merkel. The French won’t listen anyway.

I don't doubt that the EU would respond to Paris by imposing more gun control.

But...I took a look at the article. There were no links to any other site (that I could see) that would corroborate what they were saying.

Apparently, though, no need to tighten “bomb control”. Bombs are already so well controlled only terrorists are allowed to smuggle them in. Soon, with even stricter “gun control”, only criminals and terrorists will be able to get them. Obviously at that point everyone will be safer.

Boy, would I feel a lot safer as a Parisian now that I know the terrorist won’t be able to get their weapons from Francois’s Gun Shop...

How many of the firearms used in the various terror attacks were purchased through commercial sources with all of the necessary permits and fees and restrictions?

I’m guessing that none were.

Europeans where it is legal, are buying gun shops out right now because of the threat to their safety that their leaders have invited into the country.

THAT’S who the firearms restrictions are aimed at.

The purpose of guns in a society is so that good people can defend themselves from bad people, and bad people come in many forms.

A society does not have to defend itself from good people with guns, unless of course that society is run by bad people who fear good people with guns.

When bad people commit crimes with guns, the answer to that is not to take away guns from good people, because bad people will always have guns, one way or the other.

The answer to bad people committing crimes with guns is to 1) give them swift, harsh justice, and 2) arm more good people so that they will not be viewed as sheep by the wolves.

Well, that is ABSOLUTELY the right step to take, turning ALL of Europe into a “gun-free zone”.

Make sure all your new neighbors get the memo. Then they won’t have to be afraid and misbehave.

The UK is world renowned for its strict firearms licensing laws and we lead on many of the issues which the EU Commission is discussing, such as deactivation and standardised marking. However, some of these proposals would seem unlikely to have an effect on terrorist activity.

All of these proposals — as well as existing restrictions — make life easier for terrorists.

They would be better off banning islam. I believe Nazism is banned and these islamo sharia goons are far worse.

That was a close one! If someone in that theater had had a gun one of the Arabs might have got hurt! That would be a tragedy.

WOW what a rational well thought our response by the "European Commission" Terrorists using weapons doubtless obtained through unofficial channels killed 129 disarmed and helpless Frenchmen. SO naturally the governmental response is to ensure an even greater level of helplessness among the law abiding general population.

And anyone who thinks the French deserve this for being appeasers, just look to the arrogant stupid narcissistic piece of filth in the white hut who is doing his best to grovel before ISIS and make sure WE'RE disarmed and helpless. Does that mean we should be attacked here?

Europe needs to surrender and convert to Islam; there will be less bloodshed.

Sorry, I didn’t quite get your drift. Were you speaking to me directly (all your new neighbors) or were you speaking in generalities?
