The French have bent over backward to accommodate Muslims, they simply do not want to assimilate into French culture.

However there is strong evidence to the contrary that shows that no matter how kind and benevolent we are to the Jihadi, they simply see that as another weakness they can exploit.
A perfect example is the recent French theater attack. Two members of the ISIS attack team, a man and a woman (no word yet if she was a widow or not), when crossing the Mediterranean to reach Europe were on a rundown and overloaded boat that sank.
They were far from shore and there were no life boats or flotation vests so the two would certainly have drowned if help had not come to rescue them
But help did come.
European Coast Guard ships rescued them, saved their lives, gave them top notch medical care on ship and then delivered them to one of the best refugee processing centers where they were extremely well treated and given asylum.
They returned that kindness and good will by executing an unprovoked terror attack on innocent civilians and cold bloodily gunned down the defenseless men and women who were still alive after the bombing.
Must be frustrating for ISIS advocates and apologists like Carlson, because the terrorist's actions are shooting down and disproving the best hypothetical straw man scenarios arguments that the apologists like Carlson can concoct so the terrorists are becoming harder and harder to defend.
Pretty soon the best line of defense that Carlson will be able to come up with will be, “Well, the Jihadi are using very sharp knife blades to behead their victims to make the executions as fast and painless as possible, so the Jihadi are caring enough to be as humane as possible to their victims”
Its NOT that the French alienated the Muslims ,.. its that the Muslims DON'T WANT TO ASSIMILATE (get contaminated by the Western culture/World).

Sure, one can hope that our enemies, upon infiltrating our homeland, will see past the propaganda and realize that ours is a far superior & preferable way of life which they are welcome to join. Thing is, most infiltrators have been selected to completely believe the propaganda & doctrine, despising what we hold dear and reveling in the act of slaying us on our own turf.

Most of us here think bacon is a wonderful food; we’ve not the slightest dismay at consuming it.
A billion or so people on this planet think bacon is a hideous “food” (quotes as they think it isn’t), revolting at the notion of consuming it. Another billion or so think the same of beef, but considering it unreachably divine instead of demonic.
Bringing members of the latter 2/7th of the planet into a Brazilian steakhouse won’t change their mind, as they (at best) sit there uncomfortably watching other patrons wantonly indulge in the most disgusting of activities. Fellow diners may speak at length about how wonderful it tastes and how good it is for the body, but no amount of rhetoric will convince them.
(I recall my mother commenting that she understands the movie _Ratatouille_ is fun for many, and respects others enjoying it, but will _never_ want to see it because the thought of a rat in a kitchen is viscerally repulsive.)
Likewise, most terrorist infiltrators won’t be convinced & converted.
