He only said that 2 months ago after a firestorm over his wife beganThat is not correct.
Oct. 27, 2011
(Excerpt)
Ted Cruz, the former Texas solicitor general and tea party favorite for the Republican nomination for Senate, has been focusing some of his harshest campaign trail rhetoric on that longtime villain of those suspicious of U.S. internationalism: The Council on Foreign Relations. The New York-based group, Cruz said at a speech to a Republican women's group in Sugarland, Tex., last week, is "a pit of vipers." When asked about the Council at another event in Tyler, Tex., on Oct. 15 -- Texas, home of Ron Paul and Alex Jones, is the sort of place this comes up a lot -- Cruz called the organization "a pernicious nest of snakes" that is "working to undermine our sovereignty," according to video provided by someone who opposes his candidacy.

Cruz was not responsible for the most recent amnesty bill dying in the House. Rush and Levin need to review the history of amnesty bills since around 2006. I don't know if Cruz is responsible for stopping it, but Cruz did clearly state in 2014 that the House Plan was a legalization amnesty, and that he was against it.

But he would still legalize most of the 30 million illegals here currently.

Nothing. I was born in Illinois. I grew up in a small town. I now live in Indiana thank God. But enough about me...

"No, he says deport them ALL, and then they wait in line to return LEGALLY. "Correct. That is what he SAYS. FreeReign correctly points out the only reference in Trumps Immigration Paper is directed at "criminal aliens".

Negative.
Just this month the 5th Circuit has said deportations of DAPA Illegals can continue. Very important because this group must have either a US born or legal perm resident child to qualify. In other words, an anchor baby does not grant any special privilege so a standard issue Illegal can be shipped out at will.

I don't know if Cruz is responsible for stopping it, but Cruz did clearly state in 2014 that the House Plan was a legalization amnesty, and that he was against it. After the 2014 midterm elections, two things probably killed the chances of an amnesty passing. First, the defeat of Eric Cantor put a chill on many Repubican amnesty pushers in the House. And second, Obama's illegal executive amnesties killed whatever remaining chance amnesty bills might have had during 2015 and 2016. And, of course, that's still going through the courts.
But Boner never gave up. He kept trying to revive it during 2013 and 2014. Here is an interesting article where Boner was pushing amnesty in Ireland during July of this year, and the article summarizes the state of amnesty during this year pretty well.

That is non-sense ...
how about some "facts" or quotes to back that up ?
I personally heard Ted Cruz say yesterday in the Orlando speech that "any" and "all" immigration lawbreakers will be deported.
Ted Cruz made that abundantly clear, as in "visible from space".
Period.

"If it weren't for Ted Cruz fighting the Gang of 8 bill, amnesty would already be the law of the land."LOL!! It passed the Senate in a huge way. Boehner had more to do with it dying than Cruz.

No doubt. Talk is something he truly excels at.
Yep ... especially in the "MedellÃn v. Texas" Supreme Court case where Ted Cruz successfully defeated the Bush GOPe "one-world" gang ...
That's why the Bush Dynasty despises him ...
Rush Limbaugh has best stated Senator Ted Cruz's strategic and magnificent contributions to defeating Obama and the GOPe-RINO establishment with these words:
We stopped the Gang of Eight bill. Ted Cruz led the fight against the establishment. We would be living under amnesty right now if Cruz had not succeeded.
Guess it sounds like Rush Limbaugh says that Ted Cruz is a "doer" as well as a great "speaker".
I agree with Rush Limbaugh.

Cruz brought the issue to the publics’ attention and worked with House members to rally for its’ defeat. Cruz has a long working relationship with the House. The Gang of 8 fight was when I first really noticed Cruz. He mobilized the public with his stand along side Jeff Sessions. The public outcry and crashing the Capital switchboard kept that bill from becoming law.

If you think Boehner did not want to pass amnesty, you are rewriting history.
BTW, bot Levin and Rush credit Cruz as being key to defeating the Gang of 8 bill.

I listen to Rush daily. I’ve heard what he says about Trump and Cruz. But I do not remember only the portions that suit me.
To: moehoward
Just this month the 5th Circuit has said deportations of DAPA Illegals can continue. A case that is still not done. When Trump tries to round up illegals, every leftist shark tank from the ACLU to SPLC to MALDEF will tie up the process with "due process" suits.
The correct solution is for Congress to take jurisdiction over all aliens away from the Federal courts and set up an administrative system with which to confirm citizenship or its lack prior to initiating the deportation process.
