Turkish President Ignores ISIS, Stokes Civil War with Kurds

Anna Lekas Miller

Nov. 10 2015, 12:56 p.m.

SINCE TURKEY JOINED THE U.S.-LED COALITION to fight ISIS, its military actions have struck far more Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) targets than ISIS targets, leading many to suspect that the government is using ISIS as an excuse to reignite the civil war against the PKK and intimidate the Kurdish population.

Critics argue, further, that Turkey’s failures to combat ISIS are calculated, given the Islamic State’s repeated attacks on Kurdish targets, such as the Suruc bombing last July and the Ankara bombing last month.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan escalated his anti-PKK rhetoric last week, saying on Wednesday, “Turkey will continue its fight against Kurdish insurgents until every last militant is liquidated,” in his first major presidential address since his Justice and Development Party (AKP) won reelection on November 1. The announcement led to an almost immediate end to a monthlong ceasefire, igniting deadly clashes that have killed almost 200 since last week alone.

ISIS is a stalking horse for Turkey.

Through where do you think they get all their equipment and personnel?

Where did all these trucks come from?

Look at a map. The answer has to be Turkey.

Not to mention that Turkey is literally the gateway for the Muslim invasion of Europe.

I can’t agree with you more than what you posted on another thread.

This Islamic invasion of Europe is the greatest and most detrimental event in our lifetime.

Extraordinary.

A CA Guy :" That is the benefit of recent more Religious Islamic leaders getting elected in Turkey."

At present , the Turkish Government is securlar.
Tayyip Erdogan sees himsef a head of the Caliphate , thus reestablishing the Ottoman Empire .
He will fight only those who oppose the Caliphate !

Having been there (Turkey) twice in the last four years and talking with some of the locals, they have a BIG problem in their leadership kind of going Sharia if you get my drift.

The last time in Turkey they already had one bad election toward a religious non-secular regime.
I was asked to pray for them as they feared them staying in power the next election.
Their worst fears happened.

Six F-15C Eagle jets, belonging to the 493rd Fighter Squadron of the 48th Fighter Wing, from RAF Lakenheath, UK, have just deployed to Incirlik airbase, in Turkey.

According to the US Air Force, the air planes were moved close to Syria “in a demonstration of the United States unwavering support for Turkish sovereignty and the collective security of the region.”

Furthermore, the USAFE-AFAFRICA F-15s, which are pure air superiority aircraft not used for ground attack missions, “were deployed after the Government of Turkey requested support in securing the sovereignty of Turkish airspace.”

“C’mon, Turkish military... put a stop to Erdogan now.”

Apparently, most of the top brass who were rounded up and imprisoned by Erdogan have been released and reinstated, as part of a grand deal where they signed up to the new agenda.
