This is the scariest poll of the year for Democrats
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/10/2015 | Philip Klein

Put aside all the daily campaign controversies, and the 2016 election will hinge on one thing: Will the coalition of voters who twice showed up in large numbers to elect President Obama turn out to vote for Hillary Clinton, the assumed Democratic nominee?

Horse race polls, favorability ratings, those will all fluctuate many times between now and next November. But if Clinton can't find a way to engage unmarried women, millennials and minority groups — it's going to be over for her.

That's why this Democratic poll released on Monday, taken by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research on behalf of several liberal groups, should be seen as so troubling for Democrats.

Though, on the surface, it points to a real opportunity for Democrats to retake control of the Senate, beneath the surface it shows a lack of interest among millennials, unmarried women and minorities relative to the interest being shown from more traditional Republican voting blocs.

Specifically, 71 percent of seniors said they were "extremely interested" in the presidential election; 70 percent of conservatives and 70 percent of Republicans said the same. In contrast, just 65 percent of Democrats, 63 percent of minorities, 60 percent of unmarried women and 42 percent of millenials said they were "extremely interested."

Liberal Greg Sargent of the Washington Post notes that, "The basic problem outlined by Greenberg (and noted by other Dem pollsters) is that, even if Democratic economic policies are broadly popular, this isn't enough on its own, because many Americans don't believe government can or will actually deliver on those policies."

This is a key point, and the challenge for Clinton is two-fold. First, she isn't as inspiring of a figure as Obama.

It’s too early to measure the lack of interest among liberal voters. The Democrat smear machine has not yet been started. Very soon there will be plenty of articles that exacerbate racial feelings among black people to get them angry and wanting to vote. The same will be done for every other Democrat voting group.

I live in the Albuquerque Metro Area. I’ve seen a handful of cars with Bernie Sanders stickers. I’ve also seen a handful of cars with Ben Carson stickers. I have yet to see any cars with a single sticker for any other candidate.

“...relative to the interest being shown from more traditional Republican voting blocs.”

P.S. But not for Yeb! ;)

Right, Democrat Economic are so so popular. That is why the Labor Participation rates have dropped to the lowest level since 1978.

If the Democrats are doing such a great job, why are more Americans then ever sitting on the sidelines waiting for a job?

I wonder if the Dems will do the “evil Republicans will take away your social security” thing again next year.

That anyone would vote for that criminal is a sign of just how far the decay has gone.

I have seen many Bernie stickers here in, ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan’ but not a single one for Hillary.

The LibTards I work with are completely SILENT on the upcoming election; they MUCH prefer a Republican in charge so they can whine and complain and feel micro-aggressed.

*Rolleyes*

Of course, these goofs are still roaming around with their 0bama stickers proudly displayed and even a few Kerry/Edwards can be seen from time to time, LOL!

Explains a lot of what is going on. Particularly the ever-ratcheting racial tensions and the constant background chatter of the need to wipe away student loan balances.

At the end of the day the Dems can buy this.

It’s too early to measure the lack of interest among liberal voters.

That is usually done right after the polls close and the Dems tally up how many illegal/dead/unqualified votes they need to tip the election their way. Ref: Daley in Chicago vis a vis the Kennedy election.

Those voters will simply get angry and stay home.

Does this answer your question?

They always telegraph what they are going to do in some wacko corner of the web.

This is the scariest poll of the year for Democrats

If they didn't poll the dead, the illegals and certain groups three times for their 3 votes, the poll means nothing to dems.

And her party's candidates down ballot.

One of the Dhimmicrap candidates for teh open Senate seat in Maryland is already advertising that he stood up to “Republican efforts to cut Social Security.” Pray tell, when did that occur?

I live in eastern Pennsylvania. I’m a Cruz supporter, but I don’t put any bumper stickers on my car because I don’t want it vandalized by liberals.
