FLASHBACK: Hillary Claimed She Tried To Join The Marines In 1975, Or Was It The Army?

Hillary Clinton once claimed that she tried to join the Marines in 1975, shortly before marrying her draft-dodging boyfriend, future president Bill Clinton. Or did Hillary Diane Rodham attempt to join the Army, as Clinton suggested in 2008? Or did she indeed try to sign up for the Marine Corps as part of an experiment to see how receptive the military was to female volunteers, as her friends have suggested?

Questions over whether presidential candidates have fudged their youthful interests in the military came to the forefront on Friday when Politico reported that Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson fabricated a story about being offered a scholarship to West Point. Carson’s campaign disputed the story, and Politico came under heavy scrutiny. (RELATED: Team Carson: Politico Story ‘Is An Outright Lie’)

But Clinton has a military story of her own that once came under question but has since taken a back seat to numerous other Clintonworld scandals. In June 1994, the then-first lady spoke at a luncheon for female military veterans where she told a story about her attempt to sign up for the Marines in 1975.

A little Saturday humor. Kinda like the lyin' king sayin' that he considered signing up but by the time he was old enough to join, VN was already over. At least the hildebeast has experience under fire. You know, running and dodging sniper fire in Bosnia. Pretty lousy sniper.

I wonder how old she was when she started making **it up for fun. Obviously her parents never punished her for it.

If I had a nickle for every time someone told me “I almost enlisted”, I would be a rich man.

"[Hillary]'s cascading, contradictory images have been the subject of much commentary."

This article (below) exposed the supernatural, shape-shifting entity called "Hillary Rodham Clinton".

Hillary Clinton Says She Once Tried to Be Marine this NY Times article from 1994.

[Hillary's] . . . blur of [claims of] different roles . . . "We sense that we aren't seeing the 'real' Hillary, and this makes us very nervous." . . . the nation has become accustomed to Mrs. Clinton's intriguing shape-shifting.

Reptilian Hillary?

Recruiters learn to tell the bull shit artists.
If she had evinced a real desire to enlist they
would have helped her all they could.

1. Hillary Clinton lied as a staff member of the House Judiciary Committee

Dan Calabrese reveals in his column that former general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerry Zeifman, indicated that he fired the 27 year old Hillary Rodham from the House Judiciary Committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation due to her lying and unethical conduct. Zeifman said that during the Watergate investigation Hillary lied in a legal brief, them removed evidence from public access that would document her conduct.

2. Hillary Clinton lied about flying into Bosina under sniper fire

“I remember landing under sniper fire,” she said in Washington on Monday. “There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

News footage of the event however showed her claims to have been wide of the mark, and reporters who accompanied her stated that there was no sniper fire. Her account was ridiculed by ABC News as “like a scene from Saving Private Ryan”.

3. Hillary Clinton Misrepresented her Record opposing the Iraq War

In Eugene, Ore., Saturday, April 5, 2008, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., attempted to change the measure by which anyone might assess who criticized the Iraq war first, her or Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., by saying those keeping records should start in January 2005, when Obama joined the Senate. (A measure that conveniently avoids her October 2002 vote to authorize use of force against Iraq at a time that Obama was speaking out against the war.) She claimed that using that measure, she criticized the war in Iraq before Obama did.

But Clinton’s claim was false.

4. Hillary Clinton Misrepresented her Role in the Irish Peace Accord

The historian Tim Pat Coogan told The Chicago Tribune: “It was a nice thing to see her there, with the women’s groups. It helped, I suppose. But it was ancillary to the main thing. It was part of the stage effects, the optics.” Former SDLP man Brian Feeney said pithily: “The road to peace was carefully documented, and she wasn’t on it.”

5. Hillary Clinton Misrepresented the extent to which her daughter was in danger on 9/11

Clinton said Chelsea had gone on “what she thought was going to be a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and, and, that’s when the plane hit.”

Responding to a question about whether her daughter heard the “rumble,” Clinton said, “She did hear it.”

Weeks later, Chelsea Clinton told a magazine that she was in an apartment 12 blocks away when the first plane hit. A UPI article said she was outdoors closer to the site when “she heard the rumble of the second tower collapsing.”

6. Hillary Clinton Claimed she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary

During a stop in Nepal while on a south Asian goodwill tour in April 1995, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton engaged in a brief (and reportedly coincidental) meeting with Sir Edmund Hillary (who, along with Tenzing Norgay, became the first person to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest, in 1953) and told reporters she had been named after the famed mountain climber. The notion that Ms. Clinton’s given name was inspired by the man who conquered Everest was almost certainly a bit of fiction invented for political expediency (as many critics have noted, Edmund Hillary didn’t become world-famous until six years after Hillary Rodham was born).

I DID enlist in the Coast Guard. Made it all the way to Cape May but got kicked out of boot camp for medical reasons that weren’t known at the time I went through the MEPS in Fresno. I wonder if they’d even keep that on file?

I love seeing the left jump with glee over the politico lies. Carson never said he enlisted or applied but they are still jumping for glee. Hopefully this wakes up people who don’t pay attention to the blatant hypocrisy of the media. Our local rag is tainted with a few rabid lefties who were all over the story when it first broke. BUT, as the day went on and it was shown politico lied, they climbed back in their rat holes never to comment again on the story.

When I heard Rush talk about this yesterday, saying she claimed she went into a recruiting station and they disparaged her thick glasses and told her to get out, I thought, “I bet that’s actually true!” She probably walked in there with a sign, burning her bra and shrieking. I would have told her to get the hell out, too.

What is the sound of the Other Shoe Dropping?

The drive-bys got out front -- by order of Media Matters or other Hitlery-affiliated group -- in their attacks on Ben Carson, in order to keep this off the front page.
