Ben Carson is the least qualified, least suited candidate to ever run for the Presidency. That includes Obama. I would think we have had enough of affirmative action politics.

Carson high in polls. Leftists try to destroy him.
As soon as a good person threatens their stranglehold on power, they set out to destroy him.

Ben Carson is going after “secular progressives” in response to mocking by Donald Trump and others of his theory that the ancient Egyptian pyramids were meant to store grain instead of serve as tombs for the pharaohs.

“Some people believe in the Bible, like I do, and don’t find that to be silly at all,” the Republican presidential candidate told reporters in Miami on Thursday, according to a report by Talking Points Memo.

“The secular progressives try to ridicule it anytime it comes up, and they’re welcome to do that,” Carson added about his remarks in a video highlighted by a Buzzfeed.

Trump, who is competing with Carson for the lead in the GOP presidential race, poked fun at the retired neurosurgeon’s theory about the pyramids earlier on Thursday, saying, “that was a strange deal.”

Carson told CBS on Wednesday that he still believed that the Bible’s Joseph built the pyramids to store grain, noting they had “hermetically sealed compartments.”

The network noted the candidate had in mind the biblical reference to the seven years of plenty in Egypt, when Joseph stored grain to feed people during seven years of famine.

“If you are trying to make a case that Carson is an idiot or against science, I think it takes more than a religious conviction to discredit an internationally prominent neurosurgeon with a string of articles published in scholarly medical journals.”

No, it’s obvious he doesn’t hold these wildly wrong beliefs because of stupidity. However that doesn’t really let him off the hook, because the alternatives are that he either has no common sense, or no critical thinking skills. Either one of those is not a positive quality in a presidential candidate.

My coworker also sees Carson’s view on use of pyramids as meaningless... I however disagree.

Carson now leads Trump by 12 points in North Carolina. Media is in ecstasy.

If you scratch a leftist you find someone screaming "vaccines cause autism."

Seems to me that's as likely to be someone on the right.

Armstrong Williams, Louis Farrakhan, dietary supplements, prison makes you gay, and now the pyramids were all built in one lifetime to store grain? This weird factor on this nodding low talker is getting pretty noticeable.

I think it takes more than a religious conviction...

I fail to see what this has to do with religious conviction. Carson is advancing a nutball idea that has nothing to do with who or how one worships.

Actually the graineries are UNDER the pyramids.
They belonged to the Pharaoh.
Pharaoh Tutenheadake called them “My Graineries”.

The need for grain storage is at least as old as agriculture. The pyramid is an ancient architectural form, predating the Great Pyramids of Egypt — it seems entirely possible that it had utilitarian uses, long before it was used for tombs and monuments.

This is just more of the attacks seen on Alan Keyes, where the Left must ridicule a conservative black man who may become President.

As far as the Pyramids of Giza go, as soon as their true historical function somehow affects how somebody will act as President, I’ll give a damn what a candidate thinks about them. Otherwise, they’re giant piles of rocks in an Egyptian desert.

Is Carson referring to the pyramids? Or the general idea of using pyramid shaped facilities for bulk storage.

Which Egyptian pyramids? The ones at Giza? The famous ones?

Joseph had facilities built to store grain. Perhaps they were pyramids. Perhaps not. It's not a crazy notion:

Sorry, but his views on the pyramids did not affect work he has done thus far, FAR beyond the capabilities of ANY of the low IQ clowns currently in office.

Methinks he can figure out how to outdo Dorkbama the Muslim.

Of all the candidates, Ben Carson is the one I can’t stand the most. Someone like Cruz, you know he has real faith in the Lord. Someone like Trump, yeah, probably not so much, and he’s just talking it up for the votes. But that’s all he’s after at least... the votes. All politicians do that to some degree.

But Carson, he’s the kind of candidate I really loathe. He is appealing to Christians FOR MONEY, and getting millions from people who are not rich giving all they can afford because Carson talks with a devil’s tongue in order to trick it out of them. Their eyes glaze over at his smooth tone and scripture references, and they don’t even notice that he’s suspending his campaign to go on a book tour, because he’s not serious about becoming President, he’s only serious about making Ben Carson rich. Then he stands there and lies over and over again on national television, about his ties to the snake oil “herbal remedy” company, about having a gun pulled on him, about punching kids in the face. Look at the guy. You know he’s just projecting his weird violent fantasies on a historical version of himself that just doesn’t exist.

He’s duping people out of their hard earned money and it’s sickening to watch, I have too many friends and family falling for his tired tent preacher nonsense, they post on facebook all day about how great he is, and I really wish he’d do or say whatever it is that’s needed for this 30% of true believers to pull the wool off their eyes.

Sorry for the rant, but literally anybody in the field would be better than him.
