Man Arrested in Sacramento Stabbing of France Train Attack Hero Spencer Stone

A 28-year-old man from outside Sacramento has been arrested in the stabbing of a U.S. airman who gained fame for helping to thwart a terrorist attack on a train in France, police said Wednesday.

Stone, 23, was hospitalized for a week while recovering from the attack, which police said Wednesday came after some kind of dispute between the suspect's and the airman's friends over cellphone video.
"People like to use cellphones and catch people in different situations. There was people in one party that videotaped someone else, and it wasn't something that was appreciated," Sacramento Police Department Chief Sam Somers Jr. said at a news conference.
Somers would not detail the nature of the dispute or of the video.

A physical fight began, and Tran circled behind Stone and stabbed him multiple times in the back, Somers said. Tran and his group fled.What a dirtbag. Tran deserves 10 years hard time, minimum.

Fight started over some video someone took on a cell phone. Tran has had run in’s with PD prior to this, drugs and weapons charges...IMO he’s another little gang banger. Diversity! Multiculturalism! Its so great!

I can't get too worked up about this kind of stupid fight as any kind of big picture problem. It's the muggings that turn into attempted murder that are the bigger problem. A similar kind of stupid fight ended up with the
Chinese guy in a body bag and the white guys getting no prison time. An excess of alcohol and testosterone makes people do stupid things. But stabbing an unarmed man in the back is not the way pub brawls are supposed to be conducted.
Going back further in time, a sense of fair play seems not to have animated this particular incident. The white perpetrators, who were acquitted, were presumably not influenced by Chinese culture in deciding to conduct, out in the open, a massacre fueled solely by bloodlust.
