I can't connect the dots ... why Dems would continue to do things that don't work and then lose elections by either doing it or talking about it. The only thing I can think of is they are so out of touch with reality that they think eventually, if they SAY it's so, it WILL somehow be the reality. It's worked in the past with a lot of their other lies (except the Repubs are now taking away an effective weapon - the media). Eventually, if they tell enough lies, it's like the little boy who cried 'wolf' ... nobody believes them ... in the case of Obama, he's become Baghdad Barack. Hilly even shows up in the polls (words that describe) as a liar. Maybe they really are trying to light a fire under their lethargic base ..... it's just backfired and the Republican base is red-lining on the gun issue and has gone nuclear.

Make no mistake - I'm glad they are 'coming out' of the Confiscation closet so to speak because it bodes well for the cause of freedom. But when your enemy takes very odd actions, it tends to make you stand in wonderment over them.
And it could be the case where they've convinced themselves that they are winning and that it's only a matter of time before the lamp of Liberty is extinguished by their "Liberal" actions.
