Who said it? "Get rid of all this corporatism, this corporate welfare . . . I would love to have the government stop this corporate welfare--that's what I want . . . This is a huge racket that's wrecking the country."
Did you guess Bernie Sanders? Probably not because you read the headline. Yet no one could be blamed for thinking it was Sanders. But indeed, it was Charles Koch, who said it in an interview with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski that aired on today's Morning Joe. Charles Koch--one of the infamous Koch brothers that the MSM and Dems love to demonize as the epitome of greedy capitalists, the pair that Harry Reid accused of "dishonesty" and being "un-American."

When it comes to corporate welfare, Kochs sound like Sanders. So why do Dems hate him so much? Hint: $$$
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Timing is everything. Bleeding all over the place about incarcerated snowflakes followed by a story/video of an executive with Taco Bell viciously beating an Uber driver. Mika looking into the camera and saying she’s rethinking early release!
The Koch brothers are Libertarian. Considering the Political Spectrum, I understand why those who want government control despise them and where they put their money.
I don’t understand why any clear thinking Libertarian would vote for a Democrat, however.
Democrat crony corporatism picks the winners and losers based on political donations and control, which makes it nearly impossible for the not-corrupt to fairly compete.
Just look to GE for all the proof and explanation you will ever need of this.
Who actually likes corporate welfare?
It’s your business. Run it on your own dime, and make the numbers work.
Government contractors. That’s who. Having represented a plethora of small GCs, I can tell you that every one of them is mainly concerned with getting a piece of the NDAA pie. They also (generally) want to go a good job.
The left hate the Koch brothers because they are the only moneyed interest which is resolutely pro-market instead of “pro-business”. “Pro-business” types can be coopted for the left’s program with precisely the kind of corporate welfare Charles Koch is decrying and with regulation, yes, regulation, of sorts which distort the market in favor of incumbents.
Well said.
