President Obama mocked Republican candidates who suggested they'll be tough with Vladimir Putin but “can't handle a bunch of CNBC moderators at a debate” during a speech on Monday.

Obama stated, "Have you noticed that every one of these candidates say, 'You know, Obama's weak, he's — people — Putin's kicking sand in his face, when I talk to Putin, he's going to straighten out. Just looking at him, I'm going to - he's going to be'? And then it turns out, they can't handle a bunch of CNBC moderators at a debate."

I think they handled CNBC pretty well. But that isn’t the issue, of course. The job of a free press is not to support one ideology over another, it is to get information useful to the people. This is not about the candidates, it is about the press, who chooses not to do its constitutionally protected job.
