I think this aircraft broke apart due to cabin pressurization causing structural failure to erupt, starting in the tail. I could be wrong but I don’t sense a bomb or missile were in play here.

For the record, I read it was an Airbus A321.

That's not far removed from a Tupelov.

...cabin pressurization causing structural failure...

Most likely scenario at this point, data recorders should reveal much more.

I shouldn’t have left out the American manufacturers.

Lockheed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braniff_Flight_542
The reason Lockheed couldn’t compete with the DC-8, 707, or Convair 880 - they had to put the resources that would have gone into a 1st gen jet into fixing the Electra)

Boeing http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19760509-0
(747 wing fell off in flight)

Douglas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_96

and

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Airlines_Flight_981

(door fell off in flight - two different airlines.)

They found a portion of it charred. I starting to believe a bomb of sorts.

When I first looked at this, I though maybe when the lost communication, they turned off the transponder. Wonder how secure the cockpit was.

Yeah, like they didn’t do that when they shot down that passenger plane over Ukraine. This love of Russia on FR puzzles me. They are an enemy. Not our only enemy, but a major one.

I’ve heard reports the pilot radioed technical issues or some such.. If this is TRUE, a bomb is ruled out. But, is it true? I have no idea.
