Time for a united front on climate change
Sacramento Bee ^ | October 29, 2015

Within hours of the publication of President Barack Obama’s new climate-change regulations last Friday, two dozen red states and assorted allies rushed to block them from taking effect.

Yet, with an international climate-change deal at the United Nations Paris summit hanging in the balance, fossil fuel suppliers and Republicans who enable them are pulling out all the stops to persuade the rest of the world that American promises to scale back pollution are politically unfeasible and not serious.

Praise the Lord. The Republicans are finally showing some testicular fortitude and doing something right by telling Obama he ain't a king.

I’m sure that UN summit is gonna go really well after Vlad Putin came out the other day and said that climate change is total BS.

Don’t get your hopes up just yet. They’ve pretty much (the republicant’s) shown us that they’ll fold if some lib assclown confronts them head on. But I hope you’re right. This glow-bull bull, is a whole lot of bull. Gettin kinda fed up with the “settled science” crap. “We’re right and we don’t have to show you why, just take our word for it.” ain’t doin’ much for me. Still hoping for a massive record breaking blizzard in gay paris at the end of the month.

Hey, someone at SacBee, go to Yosemite. Look at the exhibits. Read how it was formed.

A few thousand years ago (long before SUV and coal burning plants) Yosemite was under miles of ice.

Where did it go and why?

Climate changes, man has nothing to do with it.

Destroying our economy to make a few elite rich is not an agenda a reputable newspaper should be pushing.

Don't count on it being real or lasting more than a day or two.

Why does nobody ask these clown how they believe their “solution” will actually make a difference? They can’t quantify it one iota.

Then, they could be asked how their precious models have fared against actual empirical data, after the “solution” is exposed for being the money grab it is.

KGB/FSB Putin is just throwing out candy to the child-minded in order to win them over: to support him and his expansionist agenda in Eastern Europe and now the Middle East.

The warmists manipulated ground based weather station data enough to declare that 2014 was the “hottest year on record”. It was shown within hours that even using their own corrupted data that their were several years that may have been warmer because the margin of error was far greater than the difference between the temperature record of the years. The raw data and satellite data sets did not concur with the adjusted ground based records.

Interestingly the number of ground based stations located in rural areas away from the “urban heat island effect” have dropped dramatically in the past 20 years. One would think that with the hundreds of billions of dollars being spent studying “climate change” that the number of these stations would be increasing. The data from these stations mostly has showed a cooling trend however over the past couple decades so they were eliminated.

The study of “Climate change” is a political not a scientific endeavor. The original “climategate” emails several years ago which showed unethical behavior from the climate scientist/activist key players showed this in dramatic fashion. I thought then that sanity would be allowed to return, but even after nearly 20 years of no statistically significant warming the drones march on to the beat of their slave master liberal politicians.

I have yet to have any climate ninny explain to me just exactly what the proper climate should be. Where in Earth’s history, even pre-human, was the proper thermostatic setting?

Exactly. I've used this as well. "What is the correct climate/temperature? When was it perfect? How long did that perfection last? Why did it change? When did it change? What were the affects of that change?

The warming has been dormant for many years now and so have tropical weather systems. But CO2 increases have not changed much year over year. Valcanoes? Oceanic temperatures (el nino)? Sun Spots? Forest Fires? Is 18 years enough to re-evaluate the scientific assumptions that were stated as fact in the 80s and 90s? When does science begin to evaluate the current data without revising the original assumptions and data to make current data work in a graph produced by a model?

The answer: Never! The faithful need no proof.

Well, environmental regs hurt businesses, so I’m sure their bosses at the Chamber of Commerce gave them marching orders.

“Time for a united front on climate change”

Agreed. We need to stop this foolish nonsense of thinking we can alter a process that has been RADICALLY changing the Earth for over a billion years. We might as well try to stop earthquakes or alter the tides.

Don’t get your hopes up too fast- red states USUALLY do thism, then they cave as soon as the government threatens to withhold federal funds
