China is not afraid of fighting a war against the United States in the South China Sea, a state-run newspaper with links to the Communist party has claimed.
Beijing is attempting to build artificial islands, while other states in the region are looking to the US to flex its military muscle on their behalf
Twenty-four hours after Washington challenged Beijing’s territorial claims in the region by deploying a warship to waters around the disputed Spratly archipelago, the notoriously nationalistic Global Times accused the Pentagon of provoking China.
“In [the] face of the US harassment, Beijing should deal with Washington tactfully and prepare for the worst,” the newspaper argued in an editorial on Wednesday.
“This can convince the White House that China, despite its unwillingness, is not frightened to fight a war with the US in the region, and is determined to safeguard its national interests and dignity.”

China knows who Obama is, more so than the American electorate evidently. They know they can do whatever they want, and he who packs the fudge will NEVER attack, or launch a nuke, perhaps even when WE are attacked. They know our POS POTUS is a pacifist, weak kneed wimp when it comes to hard ball world politics.
In fact, I honestly believe the only reason we have not been invaded or attacked is the residual remaining and diminishing nuclear deterrent we once had. When that is gone or no longer credible we won’t have to impeach Obama. Our new foreign overlords will do the dirty work.

A little too real to be left out there. So this is what the bammy foreign policy (or what passes for a foreign policy by the idiots in bammy’s admin) has wrought. A major threat no longer takes us seriously and insults us. Not that bammy doesn’t richly deserve every bit of derision and disrespect he’s earned...but the disrespect to our Country is insulting. Thanks bammy for being the a**-clown the rest of the world makes fun of.
If the Chinese actually sank an American destroyer passing one of the islands, what would Obama do? Nothing, just like George W. Bush when the Chinese force down a US plane in international airspace early in his administration. After all we must keep the cheap trinkets flowing to Wal-Mart and Dollar General.
