Angered by Trump and Cruz, Hispanic conservatives plan ‘unprecedented’ meeting

Months since Donald Trump sparked outrage with his comments about Mexican immigrants, about two dozen of the nation's top Hispanic conservative activists are joining forces to respond and issue a warning to the Republican Party.

The activists plan to meet on Oct. 27 in Boulder, Colo., the day before GOP presidential candidates meet in the same city for a debate hosted by CNBC. Plans for the "unprecedented gathering" have been in the works for several weeks, according to organizers, who shared the details first with The Washington Post.

Attendees will be "the people and organizations the RNC and GOP campaigns count on to engage the Latino electorate," said Alfonso Aguilar, head of the American Principles Project's Latino Partnership and a lead organizer of the meeting. "We’ll discuss the tone of the primary, comments about the Hispanic community and some of the immigration proposals that have been made."

One of those Democrat “narrative building” articles.

Ooohh - even Latino “Conservatives” are angry at Trump and Cruz for their “tone.”

Would whites be accused of racism if they all had an “unprecedented” meeting? Terrorism?

If they didn’t understand what Trump actually said, they aren’t conservatives

What? Stop talking about illegal aliens?

Some conservatives. Apparently nothing more than ethnics looking out for their relatives.

From my information, they are NOT “Conservative” activists; they are just plain activists .. and this is just a ruse to make it appear that CONSERVATIVE HISPANICS ARE MAD AT TRUMP AND CRUZ.

Geeeeeez!! When are people going to wake up and realize the media is not on our side and they will do whatever, say whatever, to make things as hard as possible for anybody who even dares to support Trump or Cruz.

A conservative believes in the rule of law by definition.

Whatever ethnicity they are they do not believe in changing the laws to benefit those breaking them. If their ethnicity is overriding their adherence to principle, they are not conservatives.

Truly? One of those media-generated articles.

Unless these "Hispanic conservative activists" are American first and foremost, I have absolutely no interest in what they have to say.

I have been a lifelong Hispanic conservative American. And these people embarrass me.

Exactly! I come from a large Hispanic-American family and there are many that already support Trump. Much of it has to do with his stance on illegal immigration. Which would cause me to support him as well if he were the nominee for that issue alone. There's nothing conservative about this latino group if they do not understand what Trump was saying. This is nothing more than leftist propaganda.

Misplaced emphasis:

:: just a ruse to make it APPEAR that conservative Hispanics(*) are mad at Trump and Cruz ::

* My Father-in-law would be upset with me for capitalizing “hispanics” of which he could have claimed yet never did. He always checked the “white/caucasian” box.

Mmm hmm. "Conservatives" with an ethnic agenda. Nope. Not buying it. This comes under the category of libs at the Post telling us what's right for the party they despise. Really not buying it.
