Trump is telling the truth when he said 9-11 occurred on Bush’s watch and that Bush actually did have prior warning. Trump also has said he doesnt blame Bush for 9-11. All of this was in response to Jeb’s claim that we were safe under “W”. W’s response to 9-11 was decisive and swift and did make us safer, but Trump’s comments about Bush leading up to 9-11 are not far fetched. Hes telling the truth. But NR’s headline is misleading.
Meanwhile NR bases their argument on what the GOP has always said and the American People have always thought. So what? That isnt evidence of anything. The NR argument, like their headline, is, again, a kind of misleading and a kind of non-sequitur response to exactly what Trump actually said. I wouldnt use what the GOP has always said for an argument for much of anything, but it certainly proves nothing here.
Trump’s comments were far better than W’s when he said that Islam is a religion of peace.
National Review = Establishment Review
ONCE AGAIN ANOTHER DESPERATE ATTEMPT FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT/GLOBALIST BUSH-BOT LOVING RATS
They say something Trump never said, and then they attack that very point. Its called creating The Straw Man argument in order to make your opponent look bad. Even though your opponent never said that. Thats right another filthy lie from the Rat media.
When DUMB@SS JEBBY tried to EXPLOIT the tragedy of SEPTEMBER 11th, 2001 for POLITICAL GAIN by riding the coattails of his brother. Jebby claimed his brother kept us safe during his Presidency was another dumb@ss comment from Jebby that backfired in his face.
Now all the Bush-bots, in shear panic, like Dana Purina (yes I meant to spell her last name that way) are twisting everything in order to protect Jebby and attack Trump.
How can you vote for such a lying pathetic P.O.S. like Jeb Bush? The Bush family are Democrats with the Republican name.
If WFB were to come alive today, he would soon be guilty of mass murder. And he wouldn’t have to leave NR headquarters to do it.
Oh, spare me—you seminar posters are out in force now, aren’t you?
Trump was absolutely correct re: Bush and also in his presumption that he’d have been a better and more proactive manager on the issue.
I have learned so much about Donald Trump since he’s been running. I did not know he was so interested in politics before 9-11 or that he realized what a danger illegal immigration was to us back then and before.
Although most of the 9-11 bombers entered the country during Clinton’s administration, GWB may have been less than vigilant about getting rid of them
GWB had just finished a grueling campaign and weeks of hanging chads when the attack happened.
I don’t think Trump should have made the statement because it gives ammunition to the dems. Trump is a good man, but he is not perfect and Trump people ... and I am kinda one ... should not think that pointing out his mistakes is Trump Derangement. Sometimes we need to grow up.
Newflash for you: Many Republicans have wised up to GW Bush and the Bush family so Trump isn’t hurting my feelings. The Bush’s are nothing more than a bunch of NWO free traitors who drive the cheap labor express. They Claim a disgraced ex-president, sexual predator and all round criminal as their adopted son and brother. They are bound at the hip to the House of Saud. So give us a break.
I don’t read anything NR has to say. They are polluted with TDS and are basically not very conservative. Lowry the crude and rude probably wrote this. Could care less what he has to say.
The president at that time was Bush. The buck stops with him. Why don’t some people realize that? Didn’t this site have threads about this topic very recently? Facts have not changed no matter how some try.
I am voting for Trump. Bush folks are has been losers!
Go Trump!
He blamed Clinton for 911, too. Good try.
But as Rush explained, Trump sucked Jeb and the establishment in to set up the opportunity for Trump to talk about him writing in one of his books that a major terrorist attack was coming - via Bin Laden - a couple years before the 911 attack. He said it would make the world trade center bombing (the first one) look like children playing with fire crackers. He has foresight the establishment (the uni-party) lacks.
The editors of The National Review are of the establishment. They want Jeb.
Love him or hate him; it is what it is.
Congratulations. You get it.
