U.S. House Speaker John Boehner has set Oct. 28 as the date for House Republicans to select their nominee for his replacement, with the full chamber voting on Oct. 29, Republican Representative John Mica of Florida said on Wednesday.

Oh boy, which RINO will these pukes bestow on us...
Nothing will change unless and until we get rid of the current crop of traitors and thieves in Congress. I’d like to think we can vote them out, but we may need to use the pitchforks.
The real issue is do we have a Congress with rules that allow it to be responsive to citizen constituents or only to the donor class? As a conservative I want my Congressman to be responsive to all the citizens.
A Congress that is held in the tight fist of only leadership, instead of democratized so that all rank and file members can be responsive to all constituents, will be responsive only to the Party and thus donor class.
The fix is in for Ryan.
Maybe so, but then they shouldn't expect different results.
We can jam him up just like we did Boehner.
Jim Jordan R-OH, Freedom Caucus on Fox now and folding faster than a cheap folding chair.
If the Freedom Caucus caves for Ryan, the next Congress, both sides, will be dominated by large majorities of Democrats. It is dominated now by minorities of Democrats. Why the hell vote for Republicans if it cannot affect ongoing Democrat domination?
Then there's nothing left to do but abandon the GOPe.
What did Jim Jordan say?
Wormtongue, weasel words.
Paraphrasing.
We all like Paul Ryan. When we met yesterday Ryan said a lot that we liked. The caucus will interview Ryan again today and try to find ways to help the people.
RYAN HAS BEEN A GREAT MESSENGER FOR OUR PARTY!
The last sentence says it all.
dont forget tar and feather. They still sell tar at WalMart, right?
Jordan is not the whole Fre4edom caucus.
Many thought McCarthy would get through. He did not.
The Caucus brought down Boehner.
If they stand up against Ryan...he will not get through.
If they somehow endorse him, then there better be some darn good reasons and they better articulate them to us clearly.
...not in the kinds of weasel speak we are hearing today.
Provided that Ryan ends up being content with most, but not all, of his demands being met (the privilege state of a motion regarding the Speaker being the most important in this category), and really is interested in leading the group rather than imposing his own ideas upon the group, this could be a vast improvement.
A good leader doesn’t need to be 100% correct, and won’t accomplish 100% of the things he thinks about accomplishing. If he leaves the more difficult but less crucial things, and things he is less certain about to the side, a good leader can accomplish a great deal of good without causing his flaws in his perception of the world to get in the way. Immigration seems Ryan’s biggest flaw, but from what I read, he is not so committed to his view on immigration as to try to get the House to write it into law.
Thanks. That’s horrible I used to love Jim Jordan.
I know but Jordan is the leader so I am worried.
Immigration seems Ryans biggest flaw, but from what I read, he is not so committed to his view on immigration as to try to get the House to write it into law.
Ryan has a long list of “flaws”. He tried to cut vet benefits, made awful budget deal with Murray, enabling Obama TPA/TPP, open borders/amnesty, etc., etc. He will be a Boehner 2.0 surrender monkey, guaranteed.
