Ted Cruz is the 2016 presidential candidate who most closely matches my values and principles. Ted Cruz is the 2016 presidential candidate who has PROVEN he ardently believes in the things I believe in.
Some say they believe in the things I do and then they DO the opposite.
Some say they believe in the traditional American values that I do, but then they run from the fight to defend and advance traditional American values.
Ted Cruz stands and fights for traditional American values, and has proven he years to advance American values and make them victorious in our land again. His record proves it.
This is the man Im wholeheartedly supporting for president of the United States in 2016.
I hope you will consider doing that, too.

I stand with TED CRUZ.
TED CRUZ 2016
Cruz is my choice, but I don’t know if he’ll get the support needed. A lot can still happen, it’s still early.
Yes, Isara another person is telling us Cruz is a man of principle. Yawn. After the 999th time, do these people think one more will finally win folks over.
It still doesn’t counter the fact that Cruz will have to battle Democrats, Independents, and moderate Republican voters who think the Tea Party folks are terrorists.
Where does that leave Cruz in the nomination process? Victorious? No.
Whether you like, I like it, or anyone else likes it, Cruz is not charismatic enough to pull this off.
If Trump were to drop out, the media would blister Cruz, and we would see another McCain, Romney acolyte win the nomination.
That’s how it has been since Reagan.
Not only that, but check this out:
And Id like to make a final point to those advocacy groups that are very engaged in this issue and rightly concerned about addressing our immigration system, and in particular about addressing the situation for the 11 million who are currently in the shadows. If this amendment is adopted to the current bill the effect would be that those 11 million under this current bill would still be eligible for RPI status.** They would still be eligible for legal status and indeed under the terms of the bill they would be eligible for LPR status as well, so that they are out of the shadows, which the proponents of this bill repeatedly point to as their principle objective to provide a legal status for those who are here illlegally to be out of the shadows. This amendment would allow that to happen
And a second point to those advocacy groups that are so passionately engaged. In my view if this committee rejects this amendment, and I think everyone here views it as quite likely this committee will choose to reject this amendment, in my view that decision will make it much, much more likely that this entire bill will fail in the House of Representantives. I dont want immigration reform to fail. I want immigration reform to pass, and so I would urge people of good faith on both sides of the aisle, if the objective is to pass common sense immigration reform that secures the borders, that improves legal immigration, and that allows those who are here illegally to come in out of the shadows, then we should look for areas of bipartisan agreement and compromise to come together and this amendment I believe if this amendment were to pass the chances of this bill passing into law would increase dramatically, and so I would urge the committee to give it full consideration and to adopt the amendment.

Another article on this topic, describing how Cruz redefines amnesty as only referring to a pathway to citizenship, and wont declare he supports deportation:
Cruz the principled candidate who says things as they “are,” regardless of who the audience is? Nope, not really.
He must be good. Every time his name is mentioned the bottom feeding nobodys of FR come running to trash him.
I’m not of a mind to trash Cruz. None the less I’m not buying the pristine image some folks are hawking for him here.
There have been some troubling things for me.
I appreciate your post. It is troubling to me.
If people disagree with Cruz on an issue, they are by definition bottom feeders?
Cruz does seem to attract some interesting folks.
I like reading these. People from all over the country supporting Cruz. Not necessarily high-profile citizens, but the bread-and-butter who make the country what it is. In a word: grassroots.
Two thirds of FreeRepublic supports Cruz.
If threads for Cruz (who BTW is the only conservative in the race) make you sleepy, I would advise you not to read the cruz threads, and the numerous posts from the large number of Cruz supporters here.
I would prefer Cruz over Trump, but the reality is that he doesn’t have as much of a chance of winning as Trump, I would be happy if that changed, and maybe it will, but for now, I think Trump has the better shot.
Yes, I know that's what the media paid for polls keep telling me half a year before the primary.
True, a lot can happy between now and the primaries.
how the heck did I type “happy” instead of “happen”?
An elderly neighbor told me that its amazing that she and her granddaughter actually support the same candidate. Her granddaughter made up some of the Ted Cruz “Mockingjay” buttons and I’m seeing several people wearing them around town.
Be interesting to actually poll that. Breitbart, which has a readership not far removed from us, originally had Cruz leading by a lot in their monthly polls. Now it's Trump topping him by more than 10 percent. I'd be willing to bet that's the same situation now, especially with Cruz on fast track and immigration slowly but surely getting more known.
“Two thirds of FreeRepublic supports Cruz. “
Has there actually been a poll here, or are you just making that up?
I see the same two or three people posting multiple Cruz articles every day. The threads get under 10 posts unless Trump is mentioned (like this one) then the thread has life. Trump posts usually go a second page at least.
