Real-estate mogul Donald Trump has opened up large leads in the key early states of South Carolina and Nevada, according to new CNN/ORC polls.
But more impressive, amid an overall narrative that the front-runner's poll numbers have plateaued over the past month, is his continued dominance of the issues.
In Nevada and South Carolina, at least, Trump is crushing his Republican counterparts on some of the issues most important to GOP voters.

Moreover, 34% of Republican voters in Nevada said Trump "best represents" views of Republicans like themselves. And, significantly, 47% thought Trump would have the best chance of winning the general election next November. Nationally, that number has previously been much lower, with only 25% of Republican voters in a July poll saying they could see him winning the nomination.

Obama received SS protection much earlier in the election process in 2008 than Trump is now. Trump should request and receive SS protection immediately. Hillary already has it and has had it since 1992.

The security team that Trump has around him are the best of the best...have you seen them?
I’m going to see if I can find some information on them, but I do know that they are ‘hand picked’ and they are mean, did you see what they did when the protesters were in front of Trump Towers a few months ago?

Donald should be careful what he’s asking for. Secret Service protection has its downsides.

Iowa will be his toughest to win of the first 4. This poll shows his ratings on social issues are his lowest of all the issues and basically tied with Carson. Iowa has gone for the biggest social conservative every time in recent history, even though that person rarely wins the nomination.
If Trump loses Iowa, the media will declare him dead and give him headwind going into NH, SC and NV.
Trump spent many years in the casino business.
I’m willing to bet that his security people have....[ahem].....unique qualifications.
I hope Mr. Trump is protected. He has had my vote since he started, I never let on even at home, now its solid.

the Secret Service has instant access to all kinds of global threat information that a private firm just doesn’t have and can have dozens if not more of security people scour and coordinate with local authorities numerous potential venues that a private firm couldn’t handle.. I assume that’s why Trump wants their protection
I’d be asking for a liason, and for my security folks to be cleared for the information. They aren’t what they used to be, and they are working for Obama. You’re just letting in spies.
