Clinton tape contradicts Hillarys claim that the family was dead broke
Bill Clinton privately boasted to a close friend that he had never had more money in his life less than two months after leaving the White House in 2001, contradicting a claim by Hillary Clinton that the former first couple was dead broke and struggling financially at the time.
The former president made the comments just weeks after he left office, according to a contemporaneous audio diary recorded by his long-time friend Taylor Branch and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Branch recounted one conversation that he had with Bill Clinton on March 7, 2001 at his home in Chappaqua, New York.
[Clinton] is doing these speeches, said Branch. He said hes never had more money in his life. Hes made more money in the past month than he has in previous years, giving these speeches.
Bill and Hillary Clinton have reportedly made over $100 million giving paid speeches since 2001. However, Bill Clintons lecture-circuit strategy was already taking shape before he departed the White House, according to the recordings.
Clinton told Branch a week before his exit date that he planned to immediately sign up with a speaking agency and devote significant time to making money.
Branch recorded dozens of late-night interviews with Bill Clinton for an oral history project between the early 1990s and 2000. Although the president kept the only copies of the interviews, Branch took notes and recounted the conversations into a tape recorder after each of the interview sessions ended.
The previously unpublished recordings challenge Hillary Clintons narrative that the couple struggled financially after leaving the White House.

Stop Hillary PAC ad to slam Hillary nationwide during Democrat presidential debate
Bill Clinton privately boasted to a close friend that he had never had more money in his life less than two months after leaving the White House in 2001, contradicting a claim by Hillary Clinton that the former first couple was dead broke and struggling financially at the time.
When they left the White House, they had millions in unpaid legal bills, due to Bill’s impeachment, the Paula Jones case, etc.
But they had millions in the bank because they each had received book advance payments prior to their leaving the White House.
You have to parse the language when any Clinton says anything. When Hillary says they were broke, she was thinking of the unpaid legal bills. When Bill says they had more money than ever, he was thinking of the book advances they received.
Bill and Shrillary purchased their Chappaqua home immediately after leaving the White House. How do you qualify for a $1.7 million mortgage if you're "flat broke?"
Everything about the Clintons and Killary are an “in your face” lie.
Well!Isn’t that amazing. It wasn’t that long ago that Hillary was claiming she and Bill were in poverty.
Since that time they have created a phoney foundation to hide millions of dollars in bribes. They claim the money came from speeches. But who would want to torture themselves by listening to Ms.No nothing.
Which one of the Clintons is lying?
Which one?
What group is more ethical? Mexican Drug Dealers or Italian Mobsters?
Life’s hard questions....
I can’t imagine that one single person actually wants to pay to listen to either one of these criminals speak for two seconds. They would have to pay me a fair sum to listen to Bill and they would have to pay me a huge sum and allow me to wear ear plugs and a blindfold to sit in the audience where Hillary is speaking.
Trump and Sanders bring in twenty-thirty thousand people at a pop...
Hillary's crowds look like she bused in people from the local Senior Citizens Centers ... with a High School group (supplied by the Teacher's union) behind her to make it look like 'young people (the gold standard for liberals) are backing her.
You're right Rip - hard to believe she was earning a million dollars a speech - for the 'wisdom' she was imparting.
EXCELLENT!!
