A uniformed Kansas City, Mo., cop
******************
What I don’t understand is why the cops don’t call their senior officers and asked them
if they would come down and explain or talk to the mgmt. Sometimes lower level employees
may not understand or know the actual policy of the company.
She was doing him a BIG FAVOR. Their food is crap.....................
My question: was the officer in uniform?
The restaurant has the right to choose their policy, and take responsibility for the consequences.
But, the reality is: the hostess may not have realized he was a police officer. Open-carry is legal in MO, and he may not have been wearing his uniform.
Should law enforcement officers get special treatment? No, I don’t think they should. But, the restaurant has the right to make that choice.
Anyone who has ever had authentic Italian food would never eat the dog vomit served here. This is not the first time Olive Garden has stepped in it.
Some mind numb $8/hr hostess becomes an idiot and it makes the news. Feel sorry for Olive Garden.
She should have asked for a show of hands, how many guns were already in the restaurant.
“he (the cop) ranted in a Facebook post Sunday afternoon.”
Good old MSN: a guy who puts his life on the line every day is embarrassed for no good reason, and he’s “ranting”.
The hostess “asked,” the cop “ranted.”
Ah, the language of the praetorian media....
Olive Garden is like eating canned tomato sauce and referring to it as “gravy.”
You are better off pulling any Italian recipe off the internet and trying it yourself. If you screw that up, THAT would be better Italian food than Olive Garden on its best day.
Its private property. They can exclude anyone they want. That doesn’t mean you have to shop or eat there. The food sucks so I don’t know why you’d want to eat there anyway.
And before we get all excitable, we might want to ask how this is any different from say refusing to bake a cake for gays or declining to sell cans of gasoline to OWS activists.
The obvious tool is the boycott. I don’t support gungbrabbers, so I urge people not to eat crappy Italian food at this restaurant.
Tried out a restaurant in Houston suburbs this weekend. Apparently been there quite a while but never noticed it before. Several policemen sitting in the outside area - and yes they were armed. Ashtrays on every table, great food, awesome service, Led Zeppelin music in the background, some interesting beers. We’re definitely going back.
the employees or owner who kicked him out can now count on daily surveillance of all his or her activities by the police- and being pulled over repeatedly for violations such as broken tail lights, no turn signal, failure to stop completely etxc-
Who in their right mind would eat in an Olive Garden anyway? It’s fake “italian” food. Heck, even red lobster is closer to sea food (it’s not seafood) than Olive garden is to italian.
I never, ever want to live where Olive Garden is a place anyonewould go to celebrate.
I stopped going there when they pulled their ads from Conservative radio.
Demonstrates how idiotic these lib-turds can be.
I think one of the best ways to stop this crap is to start publishing the name of the waiter/waitress who made the decision to be an ass.
Eff olive garden...
