Spencer Stone, one of the three Americans hailed a hero in the French train attack in August, was "in good spirits" as he recovered from a stabbing outside a Sacramento bar, hospital officials said Friday.
The UC Davis Medical Center upgraded Airman Spencer Stone's condition from serious to fair. Doctors say he was awake, and could get out of bed Friday.
"We know it's not related to what occurred in France," Sacramento Deputy Police Chief Ken Bernard said.
Stone was out with four friends when they got into a fight near a bar with another group of people, Bernard said.
he deputy chief would not disclose what sparked the argument but said there was no evidence the assailants knew who Stone was.

Sounds like the fight/altercation started inside the bar first. There are reports on which bar it was...but I’ll wait til (and if..if ever) it gets confirmed. Especially with the type of bar it supposedly was

The perps are not in custody. The "Chief" is talking out his PC @$$. When they are captured, arrested, investigated and names released, then the "Chief" can have credible shot at speaking from an informed state instead of knee jerk, PC pronouncement.

It was a gay bar, apparently. He was supposedly in it with a group of guys and gals. Sheesh. I used to hang in gay bars when I was young - it didn’t make me gay. NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT.
It was reported in the Daily Fail which does tend to get things wrong on occasion.

but i was mostly on staten island and Brooklyn. i was what they called a Guido :)
A woman going to a gay male bar sounds like a funny thing to do. no biggie. but i’m old school. a guy going in...for any reason..i dont know.
there were also BDSMers in limelight. guys in leather getting beaten for pay. lol
that’s the place Gatien or whatever his name owned. and where the kid who killed the drug dealer and threw him in the river worked. he was head of the glitter children or soething like that.

Hey, I worked in the coat check of Studio 54 as a kid. Was to Limelight many times but didn’t like it. I don’t like churches being turned into discos.
I don’t care if our hero is gay or straight. He did the right thing and I want the police to find his assailants. Also, The Daily Fail is not always right.
