This week, Politico released on article suggesting that Ted Cruz has lost the trust of his peers, save for libertarian-leaning Mike Lee, who chimed in to his defense. The comments on the article, mostly from liberals who will never agree with a conservative philosophy anyway, resorted to ad hominin attacks. Criticism from the left is to be expected; however, the concerning part of this story is that conservatives and libertarians are voicing their opposition to Cruz fighting the status quo.
The irony? Both camps claim to share the belief that Washington is dysfunctional, and many public opinion polls show that Congress has a single digit favorability rating.
With all this mistrust and disgust, why should we suddenly agree with the enlightened opinions of the Republicans and Democrats who support unconstitutional conflicts, government expansion and intrusion in our lives, and the egregious practices of the TSA and NSA? Have we forgotten who the real enemy is?
Cruz wasnt out of line with his comments on Mitch McConnell and he shouldnt take heat for being one of the sane voices left in the Senate. Cruz revealed the truth about being lied to by McConnell, and simply held him accountable for his actions....

I listened to Cruz’s one hour speech on the floor of the Senate as well as Netanyahu’s UN speech. These are two brave men, absolutely hitting the nail on the head. We are in deep, deep, excrement folks.
Cruz emasculated Republicans and McConnell, if he had any, with the truth. Cruz’s explanation of the “game” puts this whole mess in perspective. I am disgusted!!!
Yeah I saw Cruz’s speech tonight from C-Span’s website and then Trump in New Hampshire. They would make a good team. I will search out Netanyahus UN speech next and also Ben Carson’s Value Voters speech since I never heard it.
If he doesn’t win the presidency, I’d like to see him Senate Leader. Our Republican senators and reps need to hear from us that they need to support him.
Let’s put the pressure on!
